These instructions are not my own but were those of the previous web master of the site. In any event, it should be a good place to start for someone wanting to make there own box call. If someone would like to know how I perform a certain task please feel free to email me and I will try to get back to you. Thanks, Scott Berry

The Workbench is basically a collection of informal production notes from each stage of my callmaking, begun in 1997, along with some thoughts and ideas I've picked up from other callmakers and woodworkers.

When I first became interested in making box calls, I was surprised to find that there was very little about callmaking. Even the tips and instructions that are offered from time to time in books and magazines are fairly sketchy, so the beginner is pretty much on his own, and, lacking box call making friends or neighbors, is left to figure it out for himself through trial and error, which was how I got started. My hope in building the Workbench is to help give beginners some direction.
