Don & Carol . . . who would have thought that at their age they would be the patriarchs of such a rapidly expanding family?! And their almost-thirty-year marriage reads like a story book. They were college sweethearts who were actually introduced by Don's sister! After a whirlwind courtship and romance, they were wed in 1971. By the spring of 1972, Cindy was born. Then came Beth & Debbie in 1973! (Ah, young love!) Having been traumatized by three toddlers, it took them 13 years to decide to have another one, this time, the boy, Tom. And for a short while, they all lived happily under one roof. But alas, that utopia came to an end as, one by one, they all left the nest. The first to go was Beth. She married her college sweetheart (and what a sweetheart he is, too!) in 1997. She not only flew from the nest, but moved 4 hours away from it, too! Then it was Cindy's turn to fly in 1999. She also married her college sweetheart (are you sensing a trend here?) and in October 2000, they were blessed with the birth of their twin girls, Cassidy & Kinsey (another trend??). Within a few months of Cindy's wedding, Debbie was also wed. And being true to her rebel nature, she did not marry her college sweetheart, but a sweetheart nonetheless! But the story of this family does not end there, oh, no! Tom, after all, is not really of marrying age yet! And there's still a question about whether or not Carol will ever let him go!
