This site and all of its contents are copyright protected. Works may not be copied, altered, distributed, or used in any other way without the explicit consent of the author(s).

All text, images, and html coding appearing on the Fiction the magazine website are the exclusive property of the author(s) and are protected under Canadian and International copyright laws.

The intellectual property MAY NOT BE DOWNLOADED except for normal viewing. The intellectual property may not be copied to another computer, transmitted, published, reproduced, stored, manipulated, projected, or altered in any way, alone or with any other material, by use of any means without the written permission of the author(s).

Fiction the magazine vigorously protects copyright interests. In the event that an infringement is discovered, you will be invoiced at a minimum 10 times the STANDARD FEE for usage and/or prosecuted for Copyright Infringement in Court where you will be subject to a fine as well as all court costs and attorneys' fees. In using this site you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this agreement. Use of this site is expressly dependent upon observance of these conditions.

To obtain permission to use material from any issue of Fiction the magazine, a request must be directed to us in writing. We are unable to grant verbal permission. Your request should be as detailed as possible and must include the following information:

  • title and author of the work,
  • the specific material you wish to use (if applicable),
  • whether the work requested is for private use or distribution,
  • a copy of the credit or acknowledgement page (if applicable),
  • the purpose for which you are requesting the work,
  • the format in which the work will be used (if applicable),
  • the distribution of your project (if applicable),
  • print run and price (if applicable),
  • publication date of your project (if applicable),
  • name of your organization/affilation (if applicable).

  • Incomplete requests will not be processed.

    Fiction will contact the author on your behalf. It is at the author's discretion as to whether consent will be granted. Each request will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Permission fees are charged at the author's discretion.

    Fiction the magazine does not share, sell, rent, or lease its customer lists to third parties. We do not disclose information about your individual visits to Fiction, or personal information that you provide, such as your name or e-mail address. This information is strictly for Fiction’s private database. Fiction carefully protects the security of the personal information you provide.
