Kirkcudbright is positioned on the Solway Coast within Dumfries and Galloway.
It has a working harbour which is based a couple of minutes walk away
from Greengate.
Boat tours of the River Dee are available during the summer months.

This is Maclellen Castle. The old castle is positioned in the heart of
Kirkcudbright at the end of High Street and is open to the public.

This is Ceaser - he is the town cat, he can often be seen in various
shop windows and roaming around Kirkcudbright. He even features on some
of the local postcards.

Lavender in a garden near the harbour and castle at the end of High Street.

This is a view of the High Street. The houses are all individually painted
in different colours. This fashion became popular in the Town when the
original artists colony lived here.

Here is a picture of an artist working on the harbour, looking out to
the River Dee and the Galloway Hills.

This is a monument for people lost at sea. Behind is Greyfriars Church,
this too was used as location for the "Wicker Man" film.
