Team DP...

So Who ARE Team DP?
Team DP are a two man team based in the north of England who've been developing games now for more years than they can remember (about 7 actually). Originally called the Dodgy Posse, the Team DP name was adopted when they realised that it sounded a lot less 'shady'.

With several successful coverdisc submissions, the pair have also had some commercial success after selling several products via the less than wonderful GSP, but found the partnership to be less than rewarding both financially and creatively. With fame and fortune just as far from their grasp as ever, the plucky pair have now returned to what they do best (no, not THAT) - Writing freeware games just for the fun of it.

Originally developing 2D platform games for DOS using 16 bit assembler and C, they've now caught up with times a little bit and are working exclusively in the 3D market using C and OpenGL under Windows (boooo).

Neil 'TheNeil' Shepherd
By Day... A software developer working out of Harrogate using the ever wonderful Delphi. Develops data capture applications and swears at Americans a lot
By Night... Lead (well only) artist for Team DP, in addition to coding development tools and apps and coming up with ever more inventive ways to cause Windows to fall over (usually via his awful code). The pessimist of the team, The Neil reigns in the more 'optimistic' ideas and tries to make them more 'do-able'
Background A uni graduate, Neil has been coding professionally (well if you can call it that) since 1996 and has worked exclusively under Delphi since picking it up in his final year at uni (although he's currently investigating Java). Would you believe that he's been doing Pascal now for over 10 years? Scary
Useless Facts A total film fanatic, Neil lives in Harrogate with his good woman (Nikki) and spends most of their time together annoying her to death by banging on endlessly about SGi machines (of which he has a stupid 4, but only two of them actually work. And is Irix better than...). Greatest film ever? The Bride of Frankenstein (1935) without a doubt. Middlesbrough supporter, Neil hates Man U (as everyone should) and tries to get back to his homeland was often as he can. Regular contributor to the Ciao website (www.Ciao.com) he actively encourages people to read his insane rantings as often as possible. A consumate liar, Neil claims to have invented cheese and likens his lifestyle to that of the north American indians. Hmmmm

Derrick 'Del' Dixon
By Day... A respected WAP developer for a leading UK mobile phone company
By Night... Lead coder and driving force behind Team DP. If it's game code then Del is the man. Usually the optimist of the team, Del comes up with the wild and amazing ideas that more often than end up taking months to realise
Background A C coder by trade, Del is fluent in Java as well and has worked on everything from nuclear submarines to traffic lights. Currently the lead WAP games developer at one of the UK's major mobile phone companies (which probably explains why he's balding rapidly)
Useless Facts With two kids to his name (the newest one born September 2001!), Del is the family man who isn't. Still obsessed with getting the latest gadgets, Del will proudly boast of being one of the first people to have a UK PS2 and was eagerly awaiting the Gameboy Advanced release. A major fan of the classic Soul Reaver, Del's tastes are more questionable when you realise that he supports Sunderland (boooo). Northern born and bred, Del adores butterflies and stamp collecting...or is that someone else? Oh who cares - Who's actually going to read this page anyway?
