UNIVERSITY

Many entry-level jobs nowadays require a university education. As a result, university applications have skyrocketed.

With this development and restricted class sizes, competition has become fierce. Students must now prove themselves, both inside and outside the school setting, to earn a position in well-recognized post-secondary institutions.

Tuition fees, accommodations, books, food, and other costs associated with university life have made higher learning a major investment. As a result, high school students must take the time and effort to decide which university is the best for their career goals.

But before you start looking at universities, you should first ask yourself if university is truly right for you.

In the table below, you'll find some general factors you should consider when deciding upon your post-secondary education: University or College? Which one suits your needs and desires?

  University College
Learning Theories and Concepts Mostly Some
Practical Knowledge Used on the Job Some Mostly
Hands-On Experience Some Mostly
Co-op Opportunities Available Available
Conducting Research in New Fields During Graduate Studies Very Little
A "Guaranteed" Job upon Graduation Almost None Almost None

We hope the RADS will help you make the right decision!
