An ancient town laid out in terraces on the steep slopes of Jebel Rebia (617 m above sea level ). a fine collection of ruins can still be seen. worth visiting : the great thermal springs, the theatre, the temple of Apollo and Isis, the Christian basilica and its Baptistery and especially the remarkable underground houses, a unique architectural phenomenon. hunting palace, fishing palace, peacock house, treasure house etc. megalithic tombs nearby.
