Stone runes 1. Collect 24 stones for your rune set. Using a fine paint brush and natural-coloured acrylic paint, paint the runic inscriptions on each stone. *Alternativly you could use another stone to streak the runic image across the stone *Or you could carve the image. 2. When the paint is dry (if you used paint) apply a coat of varnish over the stones to protect the paint.

Wooden runes 1. Before cuttung a branch, ask permission from the tree by placing your hands on it's trunk and saying a short prayer. 2. Sprinkle a small offering of sea salt at the base of the tree to honor it before cutting off a small branch. 3. Using a handsaw, carefully cut the branch into slices for the 24 runes, about 2-5 cm accross (3/4-2in). 4. Using a poker or a pyrography or soldering iron, carefully burn the runic inscriptions into each rune 5. Dip a soft cloth in natural beeswax and rub this over the rune to protect the wood.
