has identified our 1986 Brownies. Did she get it right?
Check for yourself!
Check the ROLL CALL- there are a few new names,
but it is probably not a correct list of who is, or is not, coming ... so if
you think you might still be able to make it, then think you CAN make it!
There's plenty of floor space at the Guide Hut, and the Bowls Club is fairly
flexible re numbers at Saturday night's dinner.
Please
make sure you CHECK IN at the Guide Hut on Saturday afternoon to confirm you
are there, and pay money for the weekend. Thanks!!

Did you know that in 1984 we earned $163.80 from the sale of Girl Guide
Biscuits ?
In October 1983 Tieri Scouts and Guides took part in JOTA - "Jamboree
of the Air" on the Weekend of the 19th and 20 th
Oct. Peter Sampson organized the weekend and Scouts and
Guides came from Middlemount and Capella to join in. A
special parade of all the scouts, cubs, guides and brownies (in full uniform)
was held at the shopping centre at 9.00am.
Radios were set up in a big tent and manned all weekend with the participants
logging on, and talking to Scouts and Guides all over Australia
and the world. It was quite novel then. Haven't communications taken
a giant leap ! ......

We will need to have definite numbers soon, as we need to advise
the Bowls Club re numbers for Saturday night's dinner.
Thanks to the dedicated group of Brisbane volunteers who have offered to
sacrifice their time and energy to taste some wines, and thus choose a
commemorative wine for the Reunion - cost expected to be $10-$12 per bottle.
The grapevine says that Joy Hodges and Noeline Madden are coming to the
Reunion.
Excellent!
Tieri Guide Leader Gail Merrick (Ph 49 848 923) and Scout Leader John Finn
(Ph 49 848 186) are busy planning Sunday activities - it will indeed be
a day to remember!
