SILENT HILL: SECRETS AND SIDE AREAS

Police Station

1. Handgun bullets *3
2. Shotgun shells *2

If you are running low on ammo, and are in Central Silent Hill, enter the Police Station to get a considerable amount of ammo.  It is located on the same street as the drawbridge is.  As soon as you enter, pick up (1) 2 clips of handgun bullets.  On the bench, swipe the (2) shotgun shells.  Enter the door on the left side of the entrance (opposite the place where you picked up the shotgun shells).   Pick up the (1) handgun bullers on the desk and the (2) shotgun shells located on the messy desk.  You can save your game and exit.

All 4 endings

This game has 4 different endings:
GOOD+:  Just follow the strategy guide exactly and it'll get you there.  But if you are interested on knowing how to get there, you must first pick up the unknown liquid from the hospital, and also meet Dr. Kaufmann for the third time near the motorcycle, (INN).  If you do this, you will get the best ending.
GOOD: If you ran into Dr. Kaufmann at the motel, and killed Cybil, you'll get this 2nd best ending.
BAD: If you never met Dr. Kaufamnn at the motel, but saved Cybil, you get this one.
BAD+:  Last and least if you never met Dr. Kaufamnn and killed Cybil, you're stuck with the worst ending.

NOTE: there is a secret 5th ENDING that is somehow related to the Channeling Stone.  I will put up how to get there as soon as I'm done with it.   Its pretty dificult because you have to use the Channeling stone a certain number of times at different places.  Stay tuned...

Cool Weapons & Items

THIS IS THE BEST THING I FOUND IN THE GAME:

If you beat the game and got a BAD+ ending, the next time you start using the NEXT FEAR save, you'll have access to the Chainsaw or the RockDrill. (sorry folks you gonna have to choose)
Chainsaw: Go to the gas station garage near the Balkan Church, and pick up the gas tank.  Head west on Bloch St, and the chainsaw will be lying just beyond the broken store front window.  Use the gas tank on it to get it.
Rock Drill: Go to the gas station garage near the Balkan Chruch and pick up the gas tank.  On the 1st floor of the Drawbridge tower, use the gas tank on it to get the Rock Drill

NOTE: If you beat the game twice and got the bad ending 2 times, then I have heard that you can use both the weapons.  I have not tried it, so if you have, and it works please e-mail me and let me know. Thanks.  From my experience the chainsaw is a little better and more flexible than the Rock Drill, but both are awesome weapons and the NEVER RUN OUT OF GAS.  (Save you a ton of ammo too.)

If you beat the game and got the BAD ending, then using the NEXT FEAR save, you can have access to the awesome KATANA.  In the locked room in the house on Levin St near the doghouse, and you can shoose between 2 of them.   There is no real difference that I have found in the both, but if you did, please e-mail me and tell me.  It really punishes slow moving enemies and you can lunge forward with every stroke. Hold the circle button for an overhead blow, and tap twice for a double slash. You can perform a 3-hit combo by holding the circle for the first hit, then rapidly pressing it.

If you beat the game and got the GOOD ending, then you are blessed with the cool HYPERBLASTER.  This gun rocks, because its super powerful, and has unlimited ammo, and its in your inventory at the begining of the game.  Is that cool or what?

Finally, if you beat the game and got the GOOD+ ending, you can get the CHANNELING STONE in the convenience store near where you're Jeep crashed.  I just got it so I have no clue what it does.  If you go to the Light house and use it, you can see pretty lights.  I'll find out what it does and post it up.  On a side note, I have heard that the stone i used to summon ALIENS and if you use it a certain number of times, there is even a secret ending with Alien Abduction (not kidding, I saw it at a web site), but I will confirm whether that is correct or not.

Secret Menu

During the game, press select, go to options, and press L1+L2+R1+R2 to reveal the secret menu.  You can change everything from blood color to how much ammo you can get.  I have been able to increase the ammo by 6 times until now.  I don't know how much more it'll go, but I will keep it updated soon.
