- This is currently my second semester as a student of NSCAD. I am studying for either a BFA, with my possible major being Media Arts, or a BD, with a possible major in Digital Communications Design.

1997 Awarded third place provincially for the Royal Canadian Legion's Remembrance Day Poster Contest. This was in the senior, black and white category.

Work Experience

Summer 1998 HTML Progammer/ Web Page Designer/ Graphic Design at
Wordplay, St. John's, NF
At Wordplay I designed web pages and created original graphics for clients. Some of the programs I use include HotDog Pro for HTML, Adobe Phototshop for images, and WS FTP95 for my FTP client. I also utilize my account on the Wordplay server, which is Linux based.

Media Touch Technologies, St. John's, NF
Spring 1997 Internship at Media Touch Technologies, St. John's, NF
Media Touch is a multimedia company specializing in web page design and Interactive technology. Completed a work term at Media Touch through the Communications Technology Youth Internship Program offered at Booth Memorial High. There, I held the position of Graphic Design Assistant for production of the Cabot: The Discovery of a New World CD-ROM. Tasks included freehand drawing, scanning, creating layouts and graphics, digitizing film, and editing. Programs used include: Adobe Photoshop 4.0, Corel Draw 7.0, Adobe Premier LE, and Hot Dog Pro.

Volunteer Experience

1995 - 1997 Junior Editor of In 2 Print magazine, St. John's, NF
This is a national arts magazine for youths. My tasks as a junior editor involve analyzing submissions of poetry and prose and determining if they are suitable for publication.
1996 Security at Jennstock, Torbay, NF
This was a non-profit concert showcasing local bands. Tasks as security included: monitoring gate and taking in ticket money.
1996 Booth Growing Naturally Project, St. John's, NF
This was overall a landscaping project for my school. It involved working as a team with other students, teachers, and parents. Together we cut sods, planted trees, and graded gravel.
