Albert
aka Alberto Malich. DEATH's manservant. Found in the Kitchen, and tells Rincewind what he must do to act as DEATH. It seems that Rincewind must show him each piece of evidence.
Rincewind must distract him by pulling the Bellrope before he can get the Sugar Cubes.
When Rincewind has fulfilled the four requirements Albert makes him go to find 100 souls, that is, the Dots.
Archchancellor
At the beginning of the game, in the Dining Hall, tells Rincewind about the ingredients for the Rite of AshkEnte, the spell to summon Death. At the end of Act 1 he accepts the ingredients from Rincewind and conducts the Rite, and then sends Rincewind on another mission to find out where Death has gone.
B
Babe
This is actually the Milkmaid. She is one of the prerequisites for the Clickie to make DEATH popular. As the Babe she is found in the Trailer, and agrees to act in the Clickie when Rincewind gives her the Troll Guard's Diamond Tooth.
Band
One of the prerequisites for the Clickie. Formed on the Hill when Rincewind cuts down Bone Idle with the Knife.
Beekeeper
Found at the west end of the Garden with his Hives. Dare one suggest a resemblance to Sir Richard Attenborough? Rincewind listens to him, then uses the Brochure on him.
Black Sheep
Found in the closet after passing through the Door in the Shades. He will act as the Stunt Double for DEATH after Rincewind has found evidence that he comes from overseas in the Cave.
Bone Idle
Found crucified on the Hill with three other skeletons. When they are cut down they form the Band.
Bursar
Found in the Garden. Rincewind uses the Hammerhead Shark on him to get his Mallett.

Mrs Evadne Cake
Found in her Lodgings. Tells Rincewind about Ectoplasm after the initial conversation and he talks to her using the sarcastic, the question mark, the thought, the smile, the Genie Bottle, and the Ectoplasm icons in turn. .
Casanunda
Found in the Tavern. Gives Rincewind the Ladder when Rincewind talks to him using the question icon, the ladder icon, and the witches icon in turn.

D'Blah
Found in Djelibeybi. Seems rather useless so far.
Dean
Found in the University Garden playing croquet. Rincewind uses the Flamingo on him to get his Mallett.
Dead Collector
Found in the Shades near the entrance. Tells Rincewind that he needs a Death Certificate.
Point Me Own Bone Dibbjla
Found on Bonedie Beach. Gives Rincewind the Bent Stick and the Basket.
Dibbler
Found in the Plaza. Gives Rincewind the Corn and the Brochure. During the animated sequence in Act 2 tells Rincewind that he will make a Clickie if Rincewind finds the prerequisites.
When Rincewind brings him the prequisites in HolyWood he reminds Rincewind that he still needs DEATH as the main attraction, which triggers yet another animated sequence.
In the Epilogue he is found at the foot of the Tower, and Rincewind gets the Bladders from him.
Uri Djeller
Found in the Djelibeybi. In Act 2 tells Rincewind about S.T. Ungulant. Straightens the Hoops.
In Act 4 tells Rincewind about the Fountain of Youth.
Dwarf Woman
Found in the Castle. Gives Rincewind the beginnings of the Unicorn Costume in return for the Ring.
E
Elven Queen
This is not the Elven Queen of 'Lords and Ladies'. The Make Up Girl requires her Photograph before she will get DEATH made up to appear in the Clickie. She is so dangerous that Rincewind needs the Unicorn Costume to get near her safely. Found in the Forest .
In the Epilogue she grows to be a giant, and takes the Librarian to the Tower.

Fool's Ghost
Found at the Fool's Guild. Rincewind uses the Brick on the ghost to transport it/him. to the Accelerator to make Ectoplasm.
G
Gimlet
A dwarf. Runs his own Café on Cable Street in the Shades, and give Rincewind a live Mouse in a burger. He also mentions Rock Candy.
Granny Weatherwax
Found in the Mortuary in Acts 1 and 2. Tells Rincewind that he needs a Unicorn Costume to get to the Elven Queen.
In the Epilogue Rincewind gets her to let go of the Broom by talking to her about the Raven.

In Act 1 found in the Garden. Has steel toed Boots which Rincewind gets with the Magnet.
In Act 2 an Imp is found in Holywood, and must be captured with the Bent Stick to make the Camera work.

Librarian
Found in the University Garden playing croquet. Rincewind uses the Wading Bird on him to get his Mallett.
In Act 2 is found in the Dining Hall. He forms the front legs of the Unicorn Costume.
In the animated sequences leading to the Epilogue he is grabbed by the Elven Queen and taken to the Tower.

Makeup Girl
Found in HolyWood through the door just to the left of the Piano. She tells Rincewind that she requires a
Photograph of the
Elven Queen before she will make up Death to act in the Clickie. Then she tells Rincewind to talk to a witch.
Milkmaid
Is this Ginger (aka Theda Withel) from 'Moving Pictures'? Or Marilyn Monroe?
Found on a grating in the Plaza, and has Glitter Dust on her dress.
Mortician
Found in the Mortuary in Act 2. Tells Rincewind what he needs to get a Death Certificate, and then gives it to him.

Found in the Wandering Shop. Gives Rincewind the Candles in return for Beeswax.

Foul Ole Ron
Found Under the Bridge. Has a foul smell associated with him which becomes the Stench .

Skazz
One of the attendants of Hex. In Act 1 tells Rincewind that he will have to replace the ants lost when Rincewind takes the Testtube. In Act 2 gives the Answer to Rincewind when he has used the Basket,
Clay Pot, and Pyramid on Hex.
Suffrajester
Found in Act 1 tied to a post in the
Cemetary. In Act 2 is tied to the Birdhouse in the Garden. When Rincewind uses the Stake on the
Compost Heap she will tie herself to it, and can be put in the Luggage. When she is used on the Hole at the Stoning Area in Djelibeybi an animated sequence is triggered which eventually enables Rincewind to get the
Rock Candy.
Susan
Found in the DEATH's Gardens. This simply cannot be Susan Sto Helit, daughter of Mort and Ysabell, and DEATH's grand-daughter. The whole character is wrong, and there is no record of her visiting her grand-father when she was this age.
Initially wants Rincewind's Book in exchange for the Red Cart, and then wants the Tablet.

Troll Bartender
Found in the Tavern. Gives Rincewind the tankard of Ale.
Troll Guard
Found at the Trailer. Gives Rincewind the Key to the Trailer, and his Diamond Tooth.
U
S.T. Ungulant
Found at the Cartwheel. Gives Rincewind the Jingle after Rincewind has found out the the answer to Why?.
V
Vampire
Found in the Tavern. Shows Rincewind his False Teeth, and tells him that he will return home at dawn.
Later Rincewind uses the Rooster on him to make him return to the Crypt and take out his False Teeth.
