Anteroom
Map 6. East from the Cerberus Room, and South through the Door (after you have opened it) to the Crypt.
Aquarium Room
Map 5. West of the Wizard's Workroom. South leads to the Wizard's Quarters, which is a dead end. Contains the
Clear Sphere hidden in the Aquarium. It can only be obtained by hitting the Aquarium with the
Club.
Bank Entrance
Map 4. West of the Fresco Room. Mirror images of the Bank Maze lie NW and NE. The final step in the maze is to go South to here from the West Viewing Room.
Barrow
Map 1. This is where the game starts. Contains the Lamp and the Sword from Zork 1. The only exit is to the South, through the Narrow Tunnel, across the Foot Bridge, and through the Great Cavern to the Shallow Ford.
Carousel Room
Map 1. Reached initially by going SW from the Path Near Stream. Until it is shut down from the
Machine Room it revolves, and the exits present randomly.
N leads to the Marble Hall, NE leads to the
Path Near Stream, E leads to the
Topiary, SE leads to the
Riddle Room, S leads to the
Menhir Room, SW leads to the
Cobwebby Corridor, W leads to
Room 8, and NW leads to the Cool Room.
Cerberus Room
Map 6. Reached by going Down after one has solved the maze in the
Oddly Angled Room. Contains, naturally enough, Cerberus. Leads East to the
Anteroom.
Chairmans Office
Map 4. South of the Safety Depository. Contains the
Portrait.
Circular Room
Map 2. West of the Pearl Room, and Down from the
Top of Well. Contains the
Bucket.
Cobwebby Corridor
SW of the Carousel Room and leads SW to the
Guarded Room. Contains the
String.
Cool Room
Map 3. NW of the Carousel Room. North leads to the Stony Bridge.
Crypt
Map 6. South from the Anteroom. The way out of the game is through a Secret Door on the south wall, which can only be seen by turning off the Lamp.
Dark Tunnel
Map 1. NE Leads to the Shallow Ford, SE leads to the
North End of Garden, and SW leads to the
Path Near Stream.
Deep Ford
Map 3. The Marble Hall is South. Up leads to the Ledge in Ravine.
Dingy Closet
Map 2. South of the Machine Room. Contains the
Red Crystal Sphere under a
Cage.
Dragon Room
Map 3. North (one way) from the Edge of Ledge. The Dragon's Lair is North, the
Fresco Room and Bank Entrance are West, and the Stony Bridge is South. Contains, as one would expect, the Dragon barring the way North to his Lair.
Dragon's Lair
Map 3. North of the Dragon Room, but initially blocked by the Dragon.
Contains the Chest which in turn contains the Statuette, and the
Princess.
Dreary Room
Map 3. North from the Tiny Room. Contains the
Blue Sphere.
Dusty Room
Map 5. South of the Wide Ledge. Contains a Rusty Box which in turn contains the Crown.
Edge of Ledge
Map 3. West from Ledge in Ravine, and North (one way) to Dragon Room.
Formal Garden
Map 1. North leads to the North End of Garden, and West leads to the Path Near Stream.
Fresco Room
Map 3. West from the Dragon Room, and leads to the Bank Entrance to the West.
Gazebo
Map 1. Found within the North End of Garden. Enter to get in, and Exit to get out. Contains a
Letter Opener,
Matchbook,
Newspaper,
Place Mat, and
Teapot.
Guarded Room
Map 5. SW of the Cobwebby Corridor though N to get back. Leads South to the Wizard's Workshop after the
Lizard Head has been sedated.
The door is unlocked by the Gold Key.
Ice Room
Map 3. West of the Cool Room. Up leads to the
Lava Tube. The way West to the
Lava Room is blocked by a huge pile of Ice.
Kennel
Map 6. Off the Menhir Room, but access is blocked by a menhir. You use the Wand to make the menhir float so you can Go SW and Get the
Collar.
Lava Room
Map 3. West of the Ice Room when the ice has been melted. Contains a Ruby. Leads South to the Volcano Bottom.
Lava Tube
Map 3. Up from the Ice Room. Leads to the Volcano Room, and is not on the maps because it is a dead end.
Ledge in Ravine
Map 3. Up from the Deep Ford, and Up to the
Tiny Room and Dreary Room. The Edge of Ledge is West, on the way to the
Dragon's Lair and the
Bank.
Library
Map 5. South of the Narrow Ledge. Contains the Stamp hidden in the Purple Book.
Low Room
Map 2. The Tea Room lies SE and the
Machine Room lies West. Contains a
Robot and a
Green Paper which is the instructions for the Robot.
Machine Room
Map 2. The Low Room is West and the
Dingy Closet is South.
Contains a Triangular Button which when pressed by the Robot will stop the
Carousel Room from revolving.
Marble Hall
Map 3. North of the Carousel Room and leads North to the Deep Ford. Contains the
Brick.
Menhir Room
Map 6. South of the Carousel Room. South leads to the Stairway.
Narrow Ledge
Map 5. In the Volcano between the Volcano Bottom and the Wide Ledge. You need to ride the
Hot Air Balloon to reach here.
South leads to the Library. Contains the
Zorkmid Coin.
North End of Garden
Map 1. North leads to the Dark Tunnel and South leads to the Formal Garden.
Contains a Unicorn with a
Gold Key on a ribon round its neck.
Oddly Angled Room
Map 6. This is a very complex and random maze, impossible to draw. It is entered from the Stairway, and leads eventually to the Cerberus Room. After blundering about for a while you will find a Club.
Path Near Stream
Map 1. East leads to the Formal Garden. NE leads to the Dark Tunnel, and SW leads to the
Carousel Room.
Pearl Room
Map 2. The Riddle Room is West and the
Circular Room is East. Contains a
Pearl Necklace.
Pentagram Room
Map 5. South of the Wizard's Workroom. When you put the Black Crystal Sphere on the Circle the Demon will appear.
Pool Room
Map 2. East of the Tea Room through a small hole. Contains a Pool which can be dried up by the
Red Cake to reveal some
Candy.
Riddle Room
Map 2. SE of the Carousel Room. Leads E through the Stone Portal to the Pearl Room after you Say "A Well".
Room 8
Map 2. West of the Carousel Room. Contains
Grue Repellant.
Safety Depository
Map 4. Part of the Bank Maze. Entered from the West Tellers Room on the West, but going West from this room also leads to the West Tellers Room.
The Chairmans Office is to the South.
Depending on where you are in the maze Enter North Wall may take you to the Small Room, the Vault, or the West Viewing Room.
Shallow Ford
Map 1. NE leads to the Great Cavern, and thence across the Foot Bridge North to the Narrow Tunnel and the Barrow. South leads to the Dark Tunnel.
The Teapot can be filled with water here.
Small Room
Map 4. Enter North Wall from the Safety Depository to get into it, and Enter South Wall to get back to the Safety Depository.
Stony Bridge
Map 3. South of the Dragon Room and North of the
Cool Room.
Stairway
Map 6. South of the Menhir Room. Leads down to the
Oddly Angled Room.
Tea Room
Map 2. AKA Posts Room - presumably from the appearance of the Table Legs when you have shrunk. The Top of Well is West, the Pool Room is East, and the Low Room is NW.
Contains the four Cakes.
Tiny Room
Map 3. Up from the Ledge in Ravine, and North to the Dreary Room through an Oaken Door.
Topiary
Map 2. East of the Carousel Room. The
Formal Garden lies North.
Top of Well
Map 2. Above the Circular Room, and reached by entering the Bucket and pouring into it Water from the Teapot.
The Tea Room lies to the East.
Vault
Map 4. Enter North Wall to get here from the Safety Depository, and Enter North Wall to get back to the Safety Depository. It doesn't have to make sense, it's Zork. Contains the
Zorkmid Bills.
Volcano Bottom
Map 5. South from the Lava Room. Contains a
Hot Air Balloon which can be ridden up to the Narrow Ledge and the
Wide Ledge.
West Tellers Room
Map 4. NW of the Bank Entrance, but South to get back. Do NOT go North into the West Viewing Room. The Safety Depository lies to the West.
West Viewing Room
Map 4. Enter North Wall to get here from the Safety Depository. Go South to get to the Bank Entrance. You can get here by going North from the West Teller's Room, but this is not a good idea.
Wide Ledge
Map 5. Above the Narrow Ledge, which in turn is above the Volcano Bottom. You need to ride the
Hot Air Balloon to reach here. South leads to the Dusty Room.
Wizard's Workroom
Map 5. West from the Wizard's Workshop. South to the Pentagram Room and West to the
Aquarium Room.
Initially contains three stands for the Blue, Clear, and Red
Crystal Spheres, and later a Black Crystal Sphere.
Wizard's Workshop
Map 5. South from the Guarded Room, and leads West to the Wizard's Workroom. South leads to the Trophy Room, which is a dead end.
