Aqueduct
Map 1. Entered by going Down through the Manhole in the Key Room. Leads North to the High Arch.
Aqueduct View
Map 1. A dead end SW of the Lake Shore. One can see the Aqueduct from here, but can't get to it.

Barren Area
Map 2. East leads to the Junction. West leads to the Cliff. NW leads to the Hairpin Loop. SE leads to the Shadowy Land area of the Land of Shadows.
Cliff
East leads to the Barren Area. Climbing Down the Rope leads to the Cliff Ledge, but one can't get back until the Man pulls one back up.
There is Bread here. A Man will appear sooner or later.
Cliff Base
Map 2. Reached by coming Down (one way) from the Cliff Ledge. South leads to the Flathead Ocean, and NE leads to the Hairpin Loop.
Cliff Ledge
Map 2. Reached by climbing down the Rope from the Cliff, but one can't climb back up until the Man pulls one back up.. Down leads (one way) to the Cliff Base.
Contains a Chest which contains a Staff.
Creepy Crawl
Map 1. The Junction is North, South leads to the Foggy Room, East leads to the Tight Squeeze, and SW leads to the Eastern End of the Land of Shadows.
Crystal Grotto
A passage leading from the Tight Squeeze to the East to the Royal Hall to the South.

Damp Passage
Reached by coming North (one way) down the Water Slide or being transported from the Scenic Vista. The Junction is West, the Dead End lies to the East and the Engraving Room to the NW.
Dead End
The Damp Passage is East and the Engraving Room is NE.

Endless Stairs
Map 1. This is where the game starts. You can only go South to the Junction. Contains the Brass Lantern.
Engraving Room
The Dead End is to the SE, and the Damp Passage to the SW. The N wall is covered with runes. From time to time an Old Man will be found here.

Flathead Ocean
Map 2. North Leads to the Cliff Base, and East leads to the Land of Dark Shadows area of the Land of Shadows; can be reached (one way) by going West from the Atop Steep Cliff and Near Southern End areas of the Land of Shadows.
A ship will appear and if you enter the exact phrase the Sailor will throw you a Vial.
Foggy Room
Map 1. The Creepy Crawl is North, South leads to the Lake Shore, and West leads to the Land of Shadows.

Great Door
Found on the Eastern wall of the Southern end of the Royal Hall. Before the Earthquake it is impassable, but the Earthquake makes an opening appear leading West into the Museum Entrance.

Hairpin Loop
An alternate route from the Barren Area to the SE and the Cliff Base to the SW.
High Arch
Map 1. North of the Aqueduct, and North again leads one way to the Damp Passage via the Water Slide. The Aqueduct View can be seen to the West.

Jewel Room
Reached by going West from the Museum Entrance through Stone Doors which can be locked from the Museum Entrance side but still opened from inside.
It contains a Plaque showing 777 GUE as the date on which the Crown Jewels were installed in their locked pedestal, and of course the Crown Jewels themselves. The Ring is the only jewel relevant to the game.
Junction
Map 1. North leads to the Endless Stairs, South leads to the Creepy Crawl, East leads to the Damp Passage, and West leads to the Barren Area. Contains a stone in which is embedded the Elvish Sword.

Key Room
Map 1. West from the Pitch Black Room and down through the Manhole to the Aqueduct. Contains, as one would expect, a Key.

Lake Shore.
Map 1. Actually the North Shore of the Lake. The Foggy Room is North and one Enters On the Lake to the South. The Aqueduct View is to the SW.
Land of Shadows
Map 2. This is a large and confusing area with eight subareas. North leads to the Barren Area or to the Cliff, East to the Creepy Crawl, and SE to the Foggy Room West Leads to the Flathead Ocean, .
The Eastern End forms the NE corner and eastern side, and leads to the Creepy Crawl and the Foggy Room. South (one way) leads to the Southern End.
The Shadowy Land leads North to the Barren Area, South to the Dark and Shadowy Land, East (one way) to the Eastern End, and West to the Atop Steep Cliff area.
The Dark and Shadowy Land leads North to the Shadowy Land, South to the Ominously Dark Land, East to the Eastern End, and West to the Land of Dark Shadows.
The Ominously Dark Land leads North to the Dark and Shadowy Land, South to the Southern End, East (one way) to the Eastern End, and West to the Near Southern End area.
The Southern End leads only North to the Ominously Dark Land.
The Atop Steep Cliff area leads North to the Cliff, South to the Land of Dark Shadows, East to the Dark and Shadowy Land, and West (one way) to the Flathead Ocean.
The Land of Dark Shadows leads North to the Atop a Steep Cliff area, South to the Near Southern End, East to the Dark and Shadowy Land, and West to the Flathead Ocean.
The Near Southern End actually isn't. It leads North to the Land of Dark Shadows, East to the Ominously Dark Land, and West (one way) to the Flathead Ocean.
The Hooded Figure will appear sooner or later, usually presaged by the sound of footsteps.

Museum Entrance
This area can only be reached after the Earthquake has created an opening at the Great Door.
The Technology Museum lies to the North through Wooden Doors. The Royal Puzzle lies to the South down some steps. And the Jewel Room lies to the West through Stone Doors.

On the Lake
Map 1. Entered initially from the Lake Shore, and later from the Western Shore. Has a Southern Shore, but the Eastern Shore is impassable.
Down to get the Amulet and the Grue Repellant. Contains a Roc and a Giant Fish.

Pitch Black Room
Map 1. South from the Southern Shore, and West to the Key Room. Like all dark places contains Grues.

Royal Hall
The Northern end leads to the Crystal Grotto, and the the Southern end has the Great Door on its Eastern side.
Royal Puzzle
This lies to the South of the Museum Entrance down some steps. It is an absolutely vicious maze, and contains a Book.

Scenic Vista
Map 1. South from the Western Shore. It is really a transporter room. There are numbers on the wall which change from I to IV, and a Table. When you touch the Table you are transported to an area corresponding to the number on the wall.
I Takes you to the Mine in Zork 1.
II Takes you to Room 8 in Zork 2 where you can get the Grue Repellant.
III Takes you to the Damp Passage.
IV Takes you to an Altar where you will be killed.
There is a Torch in the Room which should be left in the Damp Passage.
Southern Shore
Map 1. North leads to On the Lake. South leads to the Pitch Black Room.

Technology Museum
The Museum Entrance lies South through Wooden Doors which may need to be opened but are not (so far as I know) lockable.
It contains three machines, but only the Gold Machine is relevant to this game.
Tight Squeeze
Map 3. Leads from the Creepy Crawl to the West to the Crystal Grotto to the East.

Water Slide
Map 1. Leads North, one way, from the High Arch to the Damp Passage.
Western Shore
Map 1. South leads to the Scenic Vista. East leads to On the Lake
