his adventure has a thickly laced plot involving the Knights of the Shield, the Lords of Waterdeep, and the Zhentarim. It is all centered around the planned assassination of Danilo Thann. Lady Thione, upun exile from Waterdeep has thought of nothing but killing him for foiling her plans involving the Lords. The hook is that she doesn't know he is a Lord. She sees him merely as a doo-gooding dandy who must be finished off. On top of the planned assassination of Danilo Thann the Knights are also involved an operation to expose the Lords.

The adventure starts in the small village of Woody Glen in the High Forest region. An encounter with a Zhentarim agent puts the group on the run to Waterdeep where they hope to hide and regain their composure. But once they get there they find that there is a danger much worse, and there is no where to run now because the city is swarming with Zhentarim.

The group must uncover the Knights plan and save Danilo Thann from being assassinated. All this while being hunted down be the dark forces of the Zhentarim.
