Hulk Hogan is without question the biggest name in the history of professional wrestling. Hogan is responsible for a huge resurgeance in the popularity of wrestling in the 1980's. Even today when most people think of wrestling they think of Hogan. The twenty four inch pythons and the colors of red and yellow have been a staple in the sport for years. Hogan was the ultimate good guy. After he joined WCW in 1994 Hogan kept Hulkamania running wild. Then in 1996 he did the unthinkable. Hogan joined forces with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash of the Outsiders. He had turned his back on WCW and his legions of fans. Hulk turned in the red and yellow for the black and white. Together they had formed the New World Order of wrestling. During his career Hogan almost always had the gold or was a major contender for it. Whether you loved him or hated him or both, there is no question this man is the most well known wrestler of all time and helped make wrestling what it is today. Hogan has recently announced his candidacy for the presidential run in the year 2000. The recent decision of Hogan to retire has much to do with that. Hogan has shown that he could not step away from wrestling for long. Hall and Nash have now teamed up with Hogan again. Not to mention the fact that Hogan is the World Champ again. He has since defended the belt against Ric Flair at Superbrawl.
