Dean Malenko is a great veteran with a supreme knowledge of wrestling. Much of that knowledge comes from his family as his father was also a great wrestler. Malenko is a great technical wrestler. He is a mat technitian. Malenko is the master at any and all holds. For this reason Malenko has been called the man of 1,000 holds. Malenko is also known for his calm and focused demeanor in the ring. He almost shows no emotion. This has lead him to be called "The Iceman". Malenko has always been a top contender for the U.S. and cruiserweight title belts, holding both of them sat some time. He was also a major factor in the reuniting of the Horsemen. Now with his leaving of the Horsemen it is unknown what is in the future for Malenko.
