The Vorinna Tan

The Vorinna Tan (Twi'lek for "Son of a Bitch") was a brand-new YT-1300... fifty years ago. Though its very earliest days are lost to history, it is well-known that due to a complicated and rapid series of events (involving its former owner, a faulty motivator and an armadillo), the 'Tan fell into the hands of the confused Dren Hendyker, and a legend was born. Dren (barely) piloted the ship throughout his famous smuggling career, flying the stick-shift ship from one side of the galaxy to another and having numerous strange adventures. When Dren settled down on Socorro, however, the 'Tan was sold, and disappeared once more into the underworld. It was rediscovered years later by his destitute son Torill and his partner Tu'ebb, who leapt at the chance to grab it... right into debt from Ganis the Hutt. He has piloted it (or parts of it) ever since then.

The Vorinna Tan is the ultimate used starship. The scratched and dented hull plating barely holds an atmosphere (when the ship banks sharply, air can be seen streaming out from microfractures), the shields are weak and the controls require an elaborate system of makeshift pulleys and wheels behind the dash in order to even move. The subspace unit is so old as to require a manual transmission. However, it is fast, and this is where it shines.

The 'Tan was mostly destroyed in the battle over Coruscant that ended Xizor's reign of Black Sun in an odd hyperspace/ tractor beam/ SOB malfunction. The wreckage disappeared into hyperspace for months before reappearing over Sriluur and crash-landing in front of the Rameseum, with Torill and Tu'ebb miraculously unharmed. Torill, unwilling to consign the ship to the scrap heap, rebuilt what remained into the VT2.

The Rameseum II

The Rameseum II is the brainchild of Zolar and Ramses. After the success of the Rameseum, they decided that they needed to "go on tour." They did this by getting a loan straight from Underlord Xizor (right before his timely death), and buying and updating an old Action VI bulk transport. Modified by the expert techs at Cjaalysce'I on Soccoro, the Rameseum II has much of the cargo space converted into a bar/nightclub, living space (rooms for rent, too), space for Durandal, spaces for other ships to dock flush with the Rameseum II, and room for a larger power core that powers the updated systems. The Rameseum II also has increased speed, shields, and a high-power weapons system. It's become a haven for the galaxy's scum and villainy, drinkers and gamblers, adventure seekers and treasure hunters, lulled by the security of knowing that they're relatively safe from the law, and a cheap passage to the next system en route (not to mention the party scene and beer).

However, behind the scenes, they're constantly being watched by the spy systems that litter the various parts of the Rameseum II (for Black Sun), and the myriad droids that Durandal controls to keep the flying bar operational all have their sensors open to information Black Sun can use. Another problem is that Zolar often uses the Rameseum II on personal missions, sometimes stranding those who were waiting for the next system. When not zooming around the sector, the Rameseum II can be found parked next to the Rameseum on Sriluur.

The RII received severe damage after crash-landing on an unidentified moon in the Corporate Sector. Though still barely operational, it was dragged to an inch of its life in the following desparate escape to and from Levo. Zolar, deciding that he needed to expand, retired the R2 from service and began construction on the Rameseum Mark 4.
