wang6- Living in Ohio, but not from here.
Debbie- Where are you from originally?
wang6- Iran... lived there all of 4 weeks. Then my father was transferred back to arlington Va

Debbie- What kind of site is it?
wang6- non-profit. dealing with early hearing detection and intervention. (www.infanthearing.org)
Debbie- oh how cool, my daughter has a moderate hearing loss, I believe it came from her being premature
wang6- many hospitals are screening infants prior to being discharged from the hospital
Debbie- I think that's a wonderful idea, it would have saved us a lot of anxiety to know what was wrong
wang6- early identification makes a huge difference
Debbie- We didn't really find it until she started kindergarten, no telling how much she missed as an infant
wang6- with a moderate loss, it is hard to pick up early on
Debbie- really? They say it's nerve damage, they call it a cookie bite loss
wang6- its hard to pin down an exact cause
