For my first interview for the Gazette, I tackled a tough one. The mysterious caligula` graciously consented to be my inagural candidate.

[Debbiedoo] howdy! Can I ask you something?

[caligula`] sure sweetie

[Debbiedoo] Jac just asked me to take kitten's place as interviewer on the web gazette page.. will you be my first victum?

[caligula`] I would be honored to do so

[Debbiedoo] oh wow! Thank you!

[Debbiedoo] just tell me when you have some time and we'll do the deed!

[Debbiedoo] well that didn't sound right did it?

[caligula`] hehe, me will do the "deed" whenever you decide it feels right

[Debbiedoo] can you answer and play?

[caligula`] of course

[Debbiedoo] ok...let's do it.

[Debbiedoo] First off, how long have you been playing madlib?

[caligula`] about 3 years

[Debbiedoo] how did you find our little piece of heaven?

[caligula`] your looking better all the time

[Debbiedoo] Thank goodness we don't have video cam!

[Debbiedoo] Now let's get personal about you.

[caligula`] sorry

[Debbiedoo] Where are you from?

[caligula`] Texas, North Carolina, and Illinois.

[Debbiedoo] all at the same time?

[caligula`] no different times

[Debbiedoo] Ok, which place were you born?

[caligula`] Illinois

[Debbiedoo] and where do you find yourself now?

[caligula`] thinking that you look pretty sexy

[Debbiedoo] cali.. have you been drinking, dear?

[Debbiedoo] and it this really stuff you want printed for the world to see??

[caligula`] no babe

[caligula`] I thought this was a personal interview

[Debbiedoo] oh that it were true...but I'm sensing a pattern.. it gets personal about you, and you switch it to me

[Debbiedoo] it's personal about YOU.

[caligula`] I'm always personable

[Debbiedoo] oook, let me try again. In what state are you residing as we speak?
Cali? CALI?

(Two days later I caught up with Caligula again. Here is the rest of our interview.)

[caligula`] hiya debs I see ya caught me

[Debbiedoo] were you running?

hehe, only toward yo

[Debbiedoo] you in the mood to finish your interview?

[caligula`] what interview?

[Debbiedoo] oh my, how drunk were you on Sat. night? Let's start off where we left off.

[caligula`] ok

[Debbiedoo] where do you presently reside ?

[caligula`] San Antonio, Texas

[Debbiedoo] How old are you?l

[caligula`] 37

[Debbiedoo] are you single?

[caligula`] yes

[caligula`] yourself? sorry

lol...nope

[Debbiedoo] Are you seeing someone?

[caligula`] not currently

[Debbiedoo] Are you looking for someone?

[caligula`] probably

[Debbiedoo] I'll spread the word...

[caligula`] if they're right. but I'm not afraid of being alone

[Debbiedoo] What does "right" intail?

[Debbiedoo] entail...intail... mean

[caligula`] your ability to inquire and play amazes me

[Debbiedoo] I can use both sides of my brain.. it's a female thing

[caligula`] wow

[Debbiedoo] What would Miss Right have to have?

[caligula`] (she'd have to be) someone who satisfies me

[caligula`] tough thing to answer

[Debbiedoo] that's a good answer...

[Debbiedoo] Have you ever been married?

[caligula`] yes

[Debbiedoo] I can't believe someone would let you slip by!

[caligula`] awwww, thanks I'm actually reasonably attractive, but thats subject to interpretation

[Debbiedoo] What do you do for a living?

[caligula`] computer programmer

[Debbiedoo] Do you have any pets?

[caligula`] 2 cats

[Debbiedoo] oh wow, me too! What are their names?

[caligula`] Roxanne and Samantha

[Debbiedoo] no way!!! Ours are Flower and Samantha!

[Debbiedoo] What color are they

[Debbiedoo] my Flower is black and white and Samantha is solid black

[caligula`] mine are both calicos

[Debbiedoo] I used to have a calico named Cali!!!

[Debbiedoo] is that where you got your nick?

[caligula`] no, not actually

[Debbiedoo] oh...guess the nick I was thinking of was your nick's nick.. nevermind...ok....

[Debbiedoo] there's a good question..

[Debbiedoo] How did you choose your nickname?

[caligula`] cause I like the movie

[Debbiedoo] it's a nice strong name.

[Debbiedoo] What are your other interests besides madlib?

[caligula`] computers (obviously), dating, comic books, collecting stuff

[Debbiedoo] What kinds of things do you collect?

[caligula`] I like collectible things, not stamps or coins but comic related things

[Debbiedoo] like action figures, that kind of thing?

[caligula`] more like movie posters

[Debbiedoo] oh, I see. Those are fun.

[Debbiedoo] Do you have a favorite word

[caligula`] I'm thinking on this one

[Debbiedoo] you want an easier question?

[caligula`] is tax free one word or two?

[Debbiedoo] lol..

[Debbiedoo] What is your favorite color?

[caligula`] blue

[Debbiedoo] this is the last question I promise.....

[caligula`] okay

[Debbiedoo] What kind of person would you like for the people of madlib to know that you are?

[caligula`] frisky

[Debbiedoo] cali, this is a seriously thought out question....

[Debbiedoo] be profound....

[caligula`] it was a seriously thought out answer

[Debbiedoo] ok, ok...

[caligula`] fun loving, open minded

[caligula`] take your pick

Debbiedoo> that's better

Debbiedoo> do you want to tell us your real name?

[caligula`] Brad

[Debbiedoo] well, thank you Brad for sharing your deepest thoughts and fears with us. And making my job from now on seem like a piece of cake
