| Red Tornado was originally a sentient whirlwind on the planet Rann.
He attacked the people on Rann and was soundly defeated by the heroes. A part of
him, then, realized that being heroic was a good thing to strive for, so he created the
Tornado Champion. The champion traveled to Earth and had the misfortune of being
bonded to a robotic body that Prof. T.O. Morrow was
creating. The process caused him to forget who he was completely. While a
robot, he ended up serving with both the Justice Society and the Justice League.
Eventually, he remembered who he was and became the planet's air elemental. The
heroic side of him, though, still rebelled and re-created the heroic personality of the
Red Tornado. |
