Graphics 9.5 (Detailed snowboarders, the best lens flare, but bad pop-up)
Sound 9 (Boarders yell "look out! and stuff, snow sounds like snow)
Music 10
(contemporary with kooky voices, think Top Gear 2)
Gameplay 10
(Great physics model, fun)
2-Player Competition 8.5
(Reduced visibility due to fog, but still skill-based)
Overall 9.5
(Maybe a bit better than Wave Race 64)

This game is very simular to Wave Race, in that terrain is as much of an obstacle as opponents, and it has a terribly impressive physics model. The gameplay is tons of fun, and opponents don't cheat like in MarioKart64. The game is highly skill-based. The graphics are very good, as is the presentation. The characters are all decked out in Tommy Hilfigger clothes, and the boards are based on real Lamar snowboards. Graphically, the game looks much better than its Playstation competition (CoolBoarders 1&2). This game has the best lens flare effects ever seen on a console, and the snow-trails are cool. Characters look much better than those in Wave Race. The only shortcomings are that the boards themselves, which look rather blurry, and cosist of only one flat texture (or so it appears), the and the pop up can be pretty bad at times. Fog is bad in 2-player mode as well.. The music is very impressive, with lyrics to most songs, evenly split between rock and hip-hop. I really like this game. It is a great competition game.
