Suto Reviews

My writing style isn't that good, but I am extremely knowledgable about the technologies at work in games. The reviews are all dead on. If my scores seem high, it is because I don't like writing these, so most of the games I have reviewed are among the best.

1080 SnowBoarding Nintendo Graphics 9.5 (Detailed snowboarders, the best lens flare, but bad pop-up)Graphics 9.5 (Detailed snowboarders, the best lens flare, but bad pop-up) Sound 9 (Boarders yell look out! and stuff, snow sounds like snow) Music 10 (contemporary with kooky voices, think Top Gear 2) Gameplay 10 (Great physics model, fun) 2-Player Competition 8.5 (Reduced visibility due to fog, but still skill-based)2-Player Competition 8.5 (Reduced visibility due to fog, but still skill-based)N/A Overall 9.5 (Maybe a bit better than Wave Race 64)Overall 9.5 (Maybe a bit better than Wave Race 64)
Banjo-Kazooie Rare Graphics 10 Huge environments with NO fog, lots of textures Sound 9 All apropriate, all characters talk with Star Fox 1 type sounds Music 9 Interactive everchanging, with high quality instrument samples. A bit on the cutesy sideGameplay 10 Just like Mario 64, but with even more stuff to do N/AN/A Overall 10 Great. If you already have Goldeneye, go get this too
Bio FREAKS Midway Graphics 8.5 Charters have low poly counts, but animate great, lose limbs, there are insane projectiles and huge 3-D arenasGraphics 8.5 Charters have low poly counts, but animate great, lose limbs, there are insane projectiles and huge 3-D arenas Sound 7 It's muffled, but there is plenty of voice Music 5 I cant even remember the music in the game. It was very indistinctGameplay 8 Special moves are to hard to do, but the game is pretty fun to play, with limited flying and wanton violence.2-Player Competition 6 This is NOT a game to test skill with, but it is fun.N/AOverall 8
Cruis'n World Midway Graphics 6 Fast frame rate, but it's way too blurry, the scenery is repetitive, and the draw in is WAY too close. Sound 7 Passable, the horns are funner than playing the actual game. Cool stereo effects, with oncoming traffic, though. Music 6.5 High quality audio samples in some places, but title song is annoying as hell. A lot of the music sucks cock, but the Mexico music is ok/hauntingMusic 6.5 High quality audio samples in some places, but title song is annoying as hell. A lot of the music sucks cock, but the Mexico music is ok/haunting) Gameplay 3 Boring, Simplistic, repetitive. 2-Player 5 (Fog is moved up, but smooth frame rates)4-Player 6 lots of detail is turned off, as well as music. Fog is moved up a bit more, but it is still smooth...and boring. Overall 4 Better than the original, Cruis'n USA, but it still sucks. Fun for a good 12 minutes, though
Diddy Kong Racing Rare Graphics 10 Excellent textures, excellent lighting, 2nd best water effects 8.5 Lots of voice, but mostly annoing cutesy stuff 9.5 Cutsy, but super-high quality9.5 Cutsy, but super-high quality 8 (Moves slowly, powersliding isn't that effective, but good. Computer doesn't cheat as much as Mario Kart, weapons aren't that effective 2-Player Competition 8 (Not skill-based enough to warrant any showdowns, water effects lessened)4-player Competion 5 (Same complaints as 2-player, plus harder to see and frame rate gets pretty bad) Overall 8.5 Better than Mario Kart, Fun in 1-player, but multiplayer isn't that greatOverall 8.5 Better than Mario Kart, Fun in 1-player, but multiplayer isn't that great

Goldeneye Rare Graphics 10 (Super-detailed environments, great character animation, cool debris effects.) Sound 9 (Cool gun sounds, people going Music 9 (Mostly slightly techno renditions of various bond themes.) Gameplay 10 (Kill with many different weapons, shoot guys in the crotch, sneek up on people.) 2-Player Competition 9.5 (Cool, runs smoothly, easy to see, but of course you can see your opponent at all times, unless you get some cardboard.)2-Player Competition 9.5 (Cool, runs smoothly, easy to see, but of course you can see your opponent at all times, unless you get some cardboard.)4-Player Competition 10 (The best 4-player ever. You can actually see where you are going!) Overall 10 (Go buy it RIGHT NOW.)
Mario Kart 64 Nintendo Graphics 8 (Best use of sprites in 3-D environment ever) Sound 7 (Some annoying voices, especially Toads) Music 7 (Thuroughly OK) Gameplay 7 (Computer cheats, to based on luck, but fun)2-Player Competition 6 (Totally unfair weapon distribution, not enough awards for skill)4 Player Racing kinda sucks, but battle mode is pretty fun. Good framerate. Overall 7 (The Cheating opponents almost totally ruin it)
Mystical Ninja 64 KonamiGraphics 9 (Huge environments, detailed main characters varied textures, but lots of glitching)Sound 7 (Lots of yelling by main characters in Japanese.)Music 9 (Main game music is like Mario 64's but more japanese. the 3 musical numbers have full voice with subtitles! Awsome!) Gameplay 8 (Like Mario 64 meets Zelda 1, but lacks Mario 64's jump combos.)N/AN/A Overall 9 (Fun. It took me 10 hours and 15 minutes to beat.)
San Francisco Rush Midway Graphics 8.5 HUGE environments with little fogging, but has an overall look of 'grayness'Sound 7 Not much to it, but not bad. A voice says CHECK POINT!, crashing noises, and engine sound. Yippee. Music 6.5 Some of it is just plain horrible, but the nutty hi-score entry music is cool. Music 6.5 Some of it is just plain horrible, but the nutty hi-score entry music is cool. Gameplay 8.5 Control over the car is often limited, but the high jumps and wacky flipping cars aere fun, plus the shortcuts are awesome2-Player Competition 8.5 (Reduced visibility due to fog, but the frame rate remains constant and you can still see pretty good.)2-Player Competition 8.5 (Reduced visibility due to fog, but the frame rate remains constant and you can still see pretty good.)N/AOverall 8(Fun, and the hidden track and hidden cars, as well as numerous short-cuts and replay value
Wave Race 64 Nintendo Graphics 10 (The wave effects, the trasparencies, and reflections) Sound 9 (Love that announcer)Music 7 (Most of it sounds like the Mary Tyler Moore Theme) Gameplay 10 (Great physics model) 2-Player Competition 9.5 (Fair competion, skill based)2-Player Competition 9.5 (Fair competion, skill based)N/A Overall 9.5Overall 9.5
