Section 3: All Other Rides Design
Finally got this part started! Many thanks to Maxweasel for writing these tips. Check out his site.

Misc. Rides (i.e. not water rides)

Go Karts
For starters: Go Karts are a cheap and popular way of entertaining guests. Remember that and be sure to have at least one Go Kart ride in your park. Even if you stink at building other rides, Go Karts are easy to build and no matter what, guests love them! So what can you lose?! If you want, building Go karts in just a simple figure 8 or circle is alright, but if you really want to get the guests excited, you can do two things. You can either build them underground or you can build them very complexly, zigging in and out. For extra excitement on the zigging in and out, try building two different Go Karts and make the go in and out of each other, that will really get the guests excited!

Car Rides
Car Rides are for the weak guests that are too afraid to go on roller coasters. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't build them, because you would be surprised how many guests greatly enjoy them. They go just about as slow as a turtle, about 4 MPH one average. Have no fear, though! With scenery they become an adventure ride. This will easily boost up excitement. For even more excitement, make two rides next to each other, so the guests can see other guests near them (they like that). You can build great Car Rides, you just have to have a good plan. By the way, you have to admit that you have gone on a Car Ride at one point in your life.

Water Rides

Log Flume
Log Fumes can be a great attraction to your park if built right. If not built right, they can be a total disaster. But let's cut to the chase. Like almost every ride, the more it crosses over itself, the better. To add to that excitement, make it very compact, so the guests feel that they are going to crash into another part of the ride. Since being pulled upwards takes awhile, you should do a bunch of pulling up (until it can't go any higher) and then make it go downwards from there. If done correctly, it will give your guests an intense, but exciting water ride!

Boat Rides
Boat Rides are very important for your park if it has more than six grid squares of water. If you are lazy, you can just build the station platform then open the ride and let the guests go wherever they want (which sometimes causes traffic jams). Or you can use your creative mind and build an awesome boating adventure! Even though it may seem boring, (like the Car Ride) a Boat Ride can become very exciting. With the proper scenery, you can shoot the excitement rating up! Here's a bonus: in the expansion pack (Corkscrew Follies), you get Jurassic scenery for the water, so go out and buy it! For more info on Corkscrew Follies, go to the writer of this strategy guide's RCT website: Max's RCT Lair

Water Slides

Water Slides are very similar to Log Fumes. You should start out the ride with the guests being pulled up, but not too high, because you will pick up too much speed on the way down causing two problems: the rides' intensity will shoot up and so will the guests' stomachs. A tip for the wise: never make long stretches of straightness, which will sometimes make the boats stuck. Remember: be creative and your guests will love you. I do though have one question that I'm sure everyone else has: why is it called a Water Slide if I can't see any water on it?
