(MIARA) presented Jessa Zaragoza Pure In Heart Concert at new Tinian Dynasty
Hotel & Casino Ballroom last Saturday February 3, 2001.
Hundreds of her fellowmen came to Dynasty Ballroom for the concert to listen to
her latest hits. Many Tinian local residents also came to witness this young
sensational singer.
Jessa Zaragoza expressed her gratitude for the warm hospitality in the CNMI.
“I hope you will continue to support my album” she exclaimed.
Afterwards, avid fans crowded over her for autograph signing and picture taking.
Born in 1979 in the Philippines, Jessa Zaragoza started her career at a young
age in modeling and acting on television and the big screen. Her movie credits
include Bakit Pa?, which she played the leading role with Dieter Ocampo and Troy
Montero.
She was an OctoArts-EMI recording artist until July 2000 and now has signed up
with Star Records. In 1997 she launched her first album Just Can’t Help Feelin’
and received an 8-time platinum status. She successfully held her first major
concert at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City. Her achievements include
launching several consecutive hit songs such as Bakit Pa?, Paano Kay?, Di Ba’
Ikaw, and S’ya Ba Ang Dahilan? The latter is also the album’s title, which
is the highest grossing album for 1998.
Jessa also received numerous music credits including the 1999 Best Performance
by a Female Recording Artist at the 1999 Awit Awards.

Prince Roulette Wins Tinian Dynasty Soccer Tournament

Tinian Dynasty Soccer Committee together
with the Dynasty Social Club hosted a one-day 7-A-Side League Cum Knock-Out
Soccer Tournament at the Tinian Baseball League Field last Tuesday February 20,
2001. It was participated by the different departments including the senior
executive members of Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino.
Prince Roulette won 3-1 over F&B Tiger in the final round. Likewise, it was
also an intense competition between F&B Dragon and Bangladesh Lion during
the elimination round.
Prince Roulette received a cash prize and trophy for winning the tournament. The
runner’s up also got trophies as prize. Unanimously voted as the Best Team is
the Bangladesh Lion for exhibiting extraordinary discipline in the tournament.
During the awards ceremony, Prince Roulette team member Duc Viet Ho received the
Man of the Series award for admirably playing good defense in all three games.
Another Prince Roulette team member Sonam Tamang bagged the Man of the Match
award for his exceptional play in the finals. Prince Roulette team is composed
of Biresh Limbu, Duc Viet Ho, Raj Tamang, Sonam Tamang, Surendra Tamang, Bhoj
Gurung, Janak Rai, Harry KS Gurung and “Garry” Cheng.
The Dynasty Social Club has initiated the idea of promoting soccer to the staff
and management of Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino. “We have over 9 different
nationalities working at Tinian Dynasty and sports (soccer) is a fun way of
getting everyone together irregardless of culture,” said Biresh Limbu, Dynasty
Social Club President.
“We certainly want to extend the idea that we can culturally bond together
through sports to the Tinian community and the neighboring islands,” Limbu
added.
The Dynasty Social Club is planning another soccer tournament, which will
include teams from Tinian and other neighboring islands. Interested soccer
