 Mitzrah's Get IT Right Column!

Dear Homesteaders!

So you chose WS_FTP? Well you made a good choice, as these people have been in the industry for quite some time now and so are very experienced.

  1. After you have restarted your computer. Get yourself logged onto the internet!
  2. Then, start up WS_FTP. It looks like any other Windows Explorer, so you shouldn't be intimidated.
  3. On the menu bar look for "File" click it and drag to "Add Site"
  4. Something which looks like this should appear!
    Entering the name of a profile
  5. In the dialogue box type in "ftp.oocities.com" or something like "My GeoCities Home Page"
  6. Click "Next >"
  7. Then another box will appear!
    The Geocities FTP site is ftp.oocities.com
  8. This is requesting the ftp address for GeoCities. Type in "ftp.oocities.com"
  9. Click "Next >"
  10. Then ANOTHER box will appear in place of the old one!
    Entering your username and password
  11. UNCheck the "Anonymous" Box
  12. Enter your GeoCities log in name.
  13. Enter your GeoCities password.
  14. CHECK on "Save Password"
  15. Click "Next >"
  16. Click on "Finish"
  17. AND YOU'RE DONE!
