Dear Homesteaders, I will teach you how to make your MIDI sounds play, it is quite easy all you need is to copy and paste these codes, or learn them if you like! Please substitute the tags or filenames accordingly. [Filename = midi.mid] I will explain more on the tags later on in the tutorial.

Method 1 : Playing in the background/invisible

Netscape will register this tag and Internet Explorer 4.xx:
<embed SRC="midi.mid" autostart="true" loop="true" hidden="true" volume="100" ></embed>

All Internet Explorers will register this tag, but Netscape won't:
<bgsound src="midi.mid" loop="-1" volume="100">
Please take note that if you are using this tag you need to put it before the <body> tag of your HTML file.

Method 2 : Playing on where you plant it. There will be a console as well, on your page.

All Netscapes and Internet Explorer 4.xx will register this tag :
<embed SRC="midi.mid" autostart="true" loop="true" hidden="false" detach="false" volume="100" height="57" width="145" control="smallconsole"></embed>

Method 3 : You click on the link and a MIDI file will pop up and start playing..

All Netscapes and Internet Explorers will register this tag :
<a href="midi.mid">Click here to listen to midi.mid!</a>

Method 4 : Hidden Console Embedded in the page somewhere.

It seems that all Netscapes and Internet Explorers will register this tag :
<embed SRC="midi.mid" autostart="true" loop="true" hidden="false" detach="false" volume="100" height="57" width="145" control="smallconsole"><no embed><bgsound="midi.mid" loop="infinite">
