Ok, you have applied for
a home with GeoCities, now what? It is time to build! Do you know any HTML? Are you
accustomed to web surfing? Well do not fear, learning has to start somewhere.
What is moving in? As you know GeoCities will
terminate your account if you do not "move in" within 2 weeks of applying for
your homepage. In order to keep your homepage and tell GeoCities that you have moved in,
you only need to do the following:
- Go to http://www.oocities.org/members/tools/profile_editor.html
- Log in using your GeoCities membername and password, which
should have arrived by E-Mail.
- Edit your "Password" by entering a new password and
please use something you can remember but will still be private to you.
GeoCities will now acknowledge that you have
"MOVED IN"

These tutorials help you set up your home, it explains to you the various tools
available to you at GeoCities, and how to use them. They also have extensive help files to
aid you in your setting up.
HTMLgoodies
It is a very well known site, they help you in learning HTML. There are many
tutorials to choose from. I learnt HTML the hard way, from a book. This is much easier!
JAVAgoodies
This place has quite an extensive library of JAVA applets that can be used on your
home pages. Do check the place out.
