There are some authors such as Krista Perry, Phoenix and D.B. Sommers who have churned out long captivating series; Hearts of Ice, Lines of Destiny and Shampoo 1/2 respectively. However, for each one of authors like these, there are dozens upon dozens of other authors who have written excellent, much shorter pieces of fanfiction.  Scott K. Jamison, or SKJAM as he likes to be know, has written many different fics which I enyoy. Several of which deal with a twist on the Jusenkyo curses like No Fair which deals with WhatIf Ranma fell into spring of drowned LITTLE girl.

People often say that the first impressions a person makes are the most important and most memorable. As fate would have it, the meeting of Ranma and Akane was VERY memorable, setting the stage for all future arguments and virtually ruining any chance of friendship they might have had. However, what if you had a second chance to make that first impression again? Would you try to do anything different, or would old grudges, either real or imagined, hold you back? In this story, thanks to Akane's mallet and a convient rock from the koi pond, Ranma wakes up to great pain... and no memory. Check out this story called Clean Slate, a tale from the mind of The Deadly Nightshade.

The next one is Bauxite's Hour, a little SM fanfic with a comical twist that answers that question we've all asked ourselves; 'Why doesn't the Negaverse get a clue?'.
Ten years have passed from when Ranma and Akane were first engaged to each other, and after all this time they finally managed to acknowledge their love to one another. They now celebrate the birth of their first child with their dearest and closest friends. However, reunions sometimes have a way of stirring up old feelings and emotions, and for Mousse, this is no exception. This is a very nice piece by Alan Harnum that explores the life of a man who has everything... except the only thing he could never have.
What I Once Was
Here's an entertaining story called Love Letters From The Edge, where everything you know about the Ranma series is wrong. Akane is manipulative and eager to make a profit, Nabiki is a boy hating martial artist, and Ranma isn't girl shy any more, just to name a few. If you're looking for a few laughs, this is a great one.

This one is a little different from most fanfics that you might read. It's called Shampoo Quest; a journey into the life of our favorite lavander haired amazon from the perspective of one of those old text based adventure games. Hey, if you don't get Ranma on the first attempt, you can always reload, ne? ^_^
