• "Death and Rebirth" are the two movies first shown after the TV series (some people left after watching the just the first one, oops!) Death is a recompilation of the TV series put together in a new light and with new footage. Rebirth is the first 35 minutes of the final movie, "End of Evangelion" which shows what actually occurs in the final 2 episodes of the TV series.
• "End of Evangelion" This composes of Rebirth and the conclusion to it and Evangelion altogether. It's... interesting.
• Genesis 0:0, the making of Eva.

Fourteen year old Shinji Ikari is the center of this psychological thriller. The year is 2015 and the setting Tokyo 3, the battlegrounds where the humans have made a last stand against the mysterious Angels. Humanity's only weapon against them is the Evangelion, a biomechanical robot as tall as a building and ready for battle, all it needs is a pilot...

There is no anime that I recommend more than this. It is my absolute favorite. No other anime has gripped me in its story as this anime has. It is multileveled as a well written novel and it is appealing on many levels.

Evangelion is extremely complex, one of its charms. To help viewers, I have composed some guides to help solve some questions while (hopefully) raising more interesting ones.

LIST OF BIBLICAL REFERENCES So many enigmatic references to Christianity. A little interesting.

I got the translations!!! The story in the manga is veery slow!! At least the story seems similar (From what I have seen at least!). Anyway,CLICK HERE to see the front and back (They are the same.) covers of these very well drawn manga. They are thumbnailed. Haven't been updating, sorry.

• Shinji Ikari, 14 year old boy and pilot of Eva 01. His complexity is probably what draws most of the people. He is the Third Children.
• Rei Ayanami, 14 year old albino girl(Description, not fact). Perhaps one of the most famous anime faces of the 90's. She's mysterious too. She is the First Children.
• Misato Katsugari, 29 year old commander of Nerv. She's Shinji's boss and roommate. The boys love her.
• Gendo Ikari, the head of Nerv and Shinji's dad, they have problems.
• Ritsuko Akagi, local scientist and Misato's best friend. Kind of a minor character, but she is ridiculously important to the story.
• Soryu Asuka Langley, Second Children. She's... complex.

I love the openning song. The ending song is "Fly Me to the Moon" which Sinatra sang. 

3 OST (Original soundtracks), 2 Movie soundtracks, Addition (My fav and the one I own), Refrain, and a ton more... 

Eva's voice actors are all pretty famous. It shouldn't be hard to find these voice actors in many other anime roles. Clicking on the names sends you to Hitoshi Doi's wonderful database. Hardcore fans should take a look, Megumi Ogata in particular has some interesting roles. OR means Other Roles.

I used to know tons of stuff about this series, but it seems that I've forgotten a lot since I've moved on to other animes...

• In episode 20, after the coolest Angel's attack, tell me, how did a plug suit get into the cockpit of Eva?
• Ever wonder about episodes 25 and 26? I've heard all sorts of explanations for it, from Gainax filing for bankruptcy to the director making Gainax mad by being late a lot.
• Christian references, there are too many. For instance, supposedly there are these Guardians of Hell, one has no face just a big eye, another has a horn, another has four eyes and two jaws, and yet another is pitch black.
• Kabala, the Tree of Life. Supposedly eating from this tree would grant immortality. Humans however ate from the Tree of Knowledge and thus know of evil and did not eat from the Tree of Life, and so will also die, stupid humans, why can't you be more like the Angels... who supposedly guard the Tree of Life.
• Forget any major religious analyzation, that will just throw you off because of how only segments of religion are incorporated into the anime. Just think of Eva Christian as a religion all it's own.

I know that there are at least 2 or 3 Eva video games in Japan. One of them is a 3d action game that looks very cool.
