"The End of Eva" has a gigantic impact on characters and the world they live in, similar to other Gainax anime endings such as Gunbuster and Honneimise. It is this sort of major impact on the whole world that probably makes these animes so great.

Now my review of the story. Well, um, no one will truly be happy with it, at least initially, I believe. It's... frustrating and difficult to understand. Some background in Kabbalism and Christianity might help make the actions in the movie more understandable. (Update 9-20 No it won't. It is Evangelion Christianity we are talking about.)
