Short Summary
The main characters Yuta and Mana are immortal because they have eaten the mermaid's fleshes. They have lived over 500 years. This time they meet a boy and his mother. The boy and his mother also seem to have an intriguing story about the mermaid's flesh.

Review and thoughts
If you have watched the Mermaid's Forest first or other Mermaid series(Manga), this movie will probably make more sense to you. The author, Rumiko Takahashi is the same author for Ranma, Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku and others). She actually did a more sucessful and amazing job in the mermaid's series (most of it is in Manga) than Ranma, even though Ranma is on of the most famous anime she did. Mermaid's Scar is basically a horror type of anime. And I think it is consider a really coooool anime. The elements that make this story so good is basically the plot and characters. And the musics are really nice also. When I watch this type of anime, I really feel like watching 'anime'. What a masterpiece done by Rumiko Takahashi!
