 Chu was one of Yusuke's opponents during the Ankoku Bujutsukai.  He's the official leader of his team but since he lost to the paper-rock-scissors game, he didn't get to fight until he killed two of his own team members who chickened out!  His most well-known stance is the drunken fist (yep, just like that Jackie Chan movie) because well... just look at the beer bottle in his hand.   He's also good at using his head to knock people's lights out (literally).   When Yusuke, Kurama, and Hiei go to Makkai, he also joins the tournament, but he loses since he falls in love with his opponent, Tsume.  So he spends the rest of the anime/manga trying to win Tsume's heart.
