Brief Overview: Who would've thought that after being a stunt man prop getting his rear end pummeled in "Fist of Fury" and "Enter the Dragon" would Jacky Chan be the next actor/martial artist extraordinaire closest to fame and glory overseas that Bruce Lee claimed. Not only has Jacky Chan been a long time fan favorite in the U.S, but all over as an international actor making him one of top tens most recognizable people world wide. Jacky has garnered a cult of fans with his blending of comedic antics and martial arts as well as doing his own crazy stunts!
Jacky was born into this world on the date April 7th, 1954. It is told that at the time of his birth, he was almost sold off to one of the doctors. On his seventh birthday, a sifu at the Peking Opera Academy paid Jacky's mother to enroll Jacky as one of his students at the academy. The Peking Opera Academy is also a birth house for many kung fu superstars such as "Samo Hung and Yuen Biao". The three endured many hardships and trainings together as kung fu brothers. Jacky had appearances in numerous Golden Harvest flicks and worked with directors such as "Lo Wei" (New Fist of Fury, Half a Loaf of Kung Fu, Killer Meteors to name a few), "Yuen Woo Ping" (Snake in Eagles Shadow, Drunken Master, Young Master), and young yet, at the time not the master of ballistic bullet action director, "John Woo" (Hand of Death). In 1980, Jacky made his overseas international debut with (Battle Creek Brawl), followed by (Cannonball Run), (Blood Island) and (The Protector).
After finishing his international debuts with other directors, Jacky established his own filming production company creating hits such as the "Police Story series" and features to come "Armour of God series". Jacky after starred in movies along with long time kung fu brothers Yuen Biao and Sammo Hung in "Project A series", "Wheels on Meals", "First Mission", and "Dragons Forever" to name a few. Jacky later went on to star features such as "Tsui Hark's" (Twin Dragons), comic book/anime (City Hunter), (Drunken Master 2), (Thunder Bolt), U.S smash debuts (Rumble in the Bronx), (First Strike), "Sammo Hung's" (Mr Nice Guy), and (Rush Hour).
