Jet Li

Romeo

Brief Overview: Jet "Lin Lin Jie" Li was no doubt one of the biggest martial arts stars in Hong Kong. Not only was Jet's performance (Shaolin Temple) as well as acting (Once Upon a Time in China) made him one of the biggest martial arts stars in Hong Kong. Jet's debut in the U.S (Lethal Weapon 4) showed everyone (beat the crap out of every1 in LW4!) his abilites and fast quickness!

Shaolin Temple

Jet Li started his training at the age of eight at the Beijing Wushu Academy, where he trained in the stylized form of kung fu that is officially recognized by the People's Republic of China. He was immediately recognized as a talented young child and teen by winning in Wu Shu national championships five times. Jet also had studied forms of martial arts under the Shaolin monks, and had become a spokesperson for Wu Shu and Shaolin Temple to promote the talents of Chinese martial arts around the globe. Jet was also a member of the wu shu team that toured to the West to perform at the White House when Nixon was president at the time.

The movie Shaolin Temple not only at the time was China's top-grossing film ever, it also marked the first debut film for Jet Li. After being released from his duties of promoting wu shu in the U.S, Li decided to go to Hong Kong instead where he was signed by Golden Harvest to play the part of China's legendary folk hero Wong Fei Hung in "Once Upon a Time in China" with director Tsui Hark. With the success of "Once Upon a Time in China", Jet signed on for two more sequels, but later quit due to contract problems. Jet Li later signed on with another director to play in "Last Hero in China". Jet was later signed back to play Wong Fei Hung in "Once Upon a Time in China & America" directed by "Samo Hung".

New Legend of Shaolin

In 1993, Jet Li than went on to play more roles of China's ancient legendary folk heroes Hung Hey Goon in "New Legend of Shaolin",Cheung Sam-Fung "Tai Chi Master", and "Fong Sai Yuk". The success of Fong Sai Yuk also spawned a sequel. In 1994, Jet's status not only consisted of just high flying legendary heroes, but also showed that he can be a hero of a modern time as well starring in hits such as "Bodyguard from Beijing", "My Father is a Hero", and the ever amazing "Fist of Legend" (GOD this movie is awesome!). After gaining a mega star status in Hong Kong, Jet Li decided to bring his acting as well as his talented skills to the U.S. Jet made his first debut starring in Lethal Weapon 4 as the villain "Wah Sing Ku".

Like Jackie Chan, Jet Li's movies are being released to the U.S theaters. I still think there are other movies of Jet Li's that are better then this one, but never the less this movie was pretty good to release.
