Rena Sofer Joins the Cast

Yep, that's right. Eve from Melrose place is back playing a style guru. Has JSM jumped the shark? I don't think so!!!

As Always, Keep sending the EMails!

I've been really busy since late last season, but I am now back in the swing of things now and as always I will try to answer any questions about the show as best as I can. If I can't answer it, I can refer you to someone who can! Just click on the EMail link on the menu on the left and just say "Hi!" if nothing else!

Hello Again JSM Fans!

This, as you know, is my site where I honor the show with the antics of Dennis Finch! Not to mention the womanizing Elliott DiMauro, the idiotic Jack Gallo, the brain-dead sexpot Nina Van Horn and the brainy Maya Gallo!

The ensemble cast consists of Laura San Giacomo as Maya Gallo, George Segal as Jack Gallo, David Spade as Dennis Finch, Wendie Malick as Nina Van Horn and Enrico Colantoni as Elliott DiMauro.

In the series, Maya Gallo, a journalist with a razor-sharp wit, not only recently reconciled with her father, Blush publisher Jack Gallo—an oft-wed ex-womanizer whose current wife is Maya's former high school classmate—but also reluctantly took a job at his fluffy Cosmo-esque magazine. There, she struggles to hold her own with the beauty and fashion editor, Nina Van Horn, a neurotic and pretentious ex-model who's going through middle age kicking and screaming; the magazine's in-house photographer and ogler of beautiful women, Elliott DiMauro; and her father's wise-cracking, power-hungry assistant, Dennis Finch.

Just Shoot Me! caught my attention a couple of years ago when it came in as a mid-season replacement. The seeming draw was David Spade, with his sarcastic wit. I was wondering how he would fare without his recently-departed partner in comedy, Chris Farley. I was not only glad to see him funny as ever, but not going solo by any means. The whole cast had their lines, their wit and their appeal. I must admit, I was skeptical of Laura San Giacomo, after seeing her cruddy role in The Stand. However, after remembering her role as Kit (the wisecracking friend of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman), I felt that she deserved a go. At present, it seems that I am one of a long list of fans of the show!
