Ooranai Baba and her Champions
After destroying the Red Ribbon's Muscle Tower and facing Taopaipai, the Red Ribbon's mercenary, Goku promised Upa, Bora's son that he would revie his father with the helpof the Dragon Balls. Goku manages to gather all the Dragon Balls but one, that doesn't show on the Dragon Radar.. Roshi then takes the Z-team to his sister, The fortune teller Ooranai Baba.

Master Roshi's older
sister. She also took the life potion, so she seems not
to age anymore... if aging for her is possible at this
point. The Z-senshi meet Ooranai Baba when they couln't
find the last Dragon Ball to revive Bora. She agrees to
find it, but only after they've paid $10,000,000 zeni (DB
currency). Since none of the present had that kind of
money, Ooranai Baba chalenged them to a small tournament
with her 5 Champions. If they won, she'd tell them where
the last Dragon Ball was... Ooranai Baba has had a few important contributions to the story arc. She can bring the dead back to life for one day, wich helped Son Gohan, Goku and Vegeta fight again a few times. She helped Goku and Chi Chi find the Bashosen, and allowed their friends to see the important battles thru her crystal ball. |
| This was Ooranai Baba's first fighter. Krilin jumps into the platform first and lost for being careless. After that, Upa and Pual step in to fight him at the same time. Upa spread his arms open to resemble a cross and Pualu ate garlic to weaken him with his breath. Draculaman then turned into a bat to run away, and Pualu turned into a fly-swatter to beat him. | Draculaman |
Suke-san |
Suke-san, the invisible man, was Ooranai Baba'a second contestant. This time it was Yamcha who steped onto the platform. Yamcha had lots of trouble with him at first, but then managed to fight him listening to the sound he made when he moved. Ooranai Baba noticed that and started singing really loud and off key to make him loose. Krilin comes up with a solution: He sent Goku flyin on his Nimbus to get Roshi as soon as possible. When they got back, Krilin made Roshi stand next to the platform looking at Yamcha and Bulma stand facing Roshi. Then he pulled down Bulma's blouse and the resulting stream of blood originated from Roshi's nose covered Suke-san completely, making him visible and an easy target for Yamcha. |
| Now it was Goku's turn to fight. This time the fight is taken inside Baba's temple, in a room called "The Devil's Toilet" (check out this episode, there's toilet paper statues in the walls). The Mummy was a pretty strong fighter, but his techniques were ancient and he was no match for Goku's wits and strength. He tried to use his bandages as weapons, but Goku escaped and kicked his butt. | The Mummy |
| Akkuman | Ooranai Baba's fourth fighter wasn't really strong physiccally speaking. He had a special technique, the Akkumanaitokosen, a light halo that made the evil inside the enemy's heart explode. He tried to use it on Goku, but Goku had a pure heart and the technique was useless. Therefore, Akkuman is defenseless and gets his butt kicked. |
| Ooranai Baba's 5th fighter was a strange man. He wore a cat mask and his fighting style was disturbingly similar to Master Roshi's. Not only that, but he even knew the Kamehameha and the Zanzoken and for some strange reason, his smell prevented Goku from pissing off against him... His identity was not revealed but well into the fight. Turns out that he was Goku's dead grandfather, Son Gohan. He asked Ooranai Baba for permission to come back to Earth for that day when he knew Goku was gonna visit her to see him. During that fight Son Gohan kicks Goku's butt and rips off his tail, showing him it was his weak point.. Goku passes out when his grampa rips off his tail, but Son Gohan forfits the fight saying he cheated coz he already knew Goku's weakness. | The Mystery Fighter |
