Image songs are songs sung by the voice actors of the given anime instead of hired professional singers who have no actual connection to the show. It gives the CDs a more personal feel (and you get to listen to your favorite character sing. Bonus! =^-^=).

    Kimi o Nemurasenai Cover, KICA-2123

Kimi o Nemurasenai {Won't Let You Sleep} First released late in 1988, this was the debut album for YST. It contains ten tracks, all vocal. There are solo songs by Ryo, Shin, Shu and Nasutei. Seiji and Touma sing a duet and there are two group songs sung by all the Troopers, Nasutei and Jun. It has the long versions of Samurai Heart and Stardust Eyes, plus a second song sung by Hiroko Moriguchi. Like Sei Ran Hen, it is around forty-four minutes long.

Kimi o Nemurasenai Karaoke Vol. 1 The first in the two Starchild Original Karaoke Series CDs released in 1990 featuring the Samurai Troopers. This is the sing along version of Won't Let You Sleep, includes sheet music written in hiragana and katakana. Brief background vocals, but if you like instrumental music, and the original release, it is a good CD to own.

    Best Friends Cover, KICA-2125

Best Friends. The second image album. This CD was released in 1989, which was when most of the CDs were released as the TV series was running strong at this time. Like Kimi o Nemurasenai, this CD is comprised of ten vocal tracks. This time each Trooper gets an image song (Touma's only solo song is on this CD) as does Nasutei and Kayura. The Ma Sho share one song, and there are two group arrangements, one of just the Troopers, Nasutei and Jun, the other with them plus Kayura and the Ma Sho. At a decent length, this CD is forty-eight minutes long.

Best Friends Vol #2 Karaoke Cover

Best Friends Karaoke Vol. 2. This CD was released the same time as Vol 1. The Karaoke version of Best Friends, has sheet music written in hiragana and katagana. Also includes a sticker.
This CD was actually ordered by mistake, I wanted the image album. The company I went through apparently went only by the name and series of the CD, and did not use the catalog number I gave them. After getting over the initial disappointment of having the wrong CD, I was happy I got it. It seems that the karaoke CDs are on the really hard to find list of Trooper CDs.
