RPG Storyline Part 2:
The Citadel of the North

Carisan woke up inside a dark, dank prison, confused as to where in the world he could possibly be. He called out, and Enuvien and Theomer realized that Carisan was also in the dungeons. The most that Theomer could remember, they were captured by the Orcs ("while that hateful Convocare looked on, smirking, and proceeded to pretend sleeping") and was planning to escape. But before they could proceed, the Orcs were swiftly attacked by an unknown group. The two chose that chaotic moment to escape but was discovered by an Orc. But Theomer doubt that this is an Orc prison and they are most probably captured by the unknown troop.

Barad-dur -- J.R.R. Tolkien Carisan was astounded to find Theomer and Enuvien in the same dungeons as he was now. But Enuvien was looking at someone else with hate in his eyes: Convocare. He circled Convocare (who curiously still have his sword in his hand) preparing to attack, while Theomer too, eyed him angrily. They failed to notice that Carisan, stumbled to a corner where a half-elven girl, Karla, sat fingering her faintly shimmering medallion. She saw Carisan stumble and tried to help him up. They all froze when the door opened and they saw a figure standing by the door.

The figure declared that Convocare is "one of their number" and that they are now in the Council stronghold in the far North of Middle-Earth. They are brought there for a task: to "relieve" Frodo of his Ring and deliver it to the Council who will dispose of it. Convocare was assigned to accompany them to ensure that they do not back out of this task. Desiring to regain their freedom, they have no choice but to follow the Council's bidding. And so after eating and resting themselves (and introducing Karla to the others), the prisoners are led at last out of the dungeons.

As the prisoners walked quickly out of the dungeons, they were glad to leave the filthy place behind. Three guards are leading them while Concovare and some other men are walking behind them, ready to handle anyone who will try to escape. But as they group marched, the prisoner's hope of escaping faded since they saw that the keep is so much like a maze that anybody without a guide might become lost. The guards led the prisoners to another chamber. There the group saw their confiscated belongings and were told to pick up their things quickly so that they can get start with the mission.

But when the others had resigned to their fate, Carisan had a plan. Saying he forgot something, he let the others leave the chamber, leaving him behind. Theomer, catching on that Carisan is up to something, decides then it's up to him and Karla to cover up for him. As the two ushered the other prisoners out, Carisan went to the two guards left in the chamber and using a sleeping potion he saw in the chamber, took the guards out of commission. Carisan then discreetly called his friends back. Theomer went back to the chamber, leaving Karla behind to deal with the other guards. Theomer saw that Carisan was putting on one of the guard's uniform. After telling Theomer the plan, Carisan told him to put on the other guard's uniform. Seeing that Theomer have the same build as the guards, he was to convince the others outside to return to the chamber. To be more convincing, Theomer then put a small wound on his temple and with his head bleeding, he convinced the other guards that the other prisoner Carisan had wounded him and is still in the chamber, attempting to escape. Carisan positioned himself carefully behind the vault door, pretending to stagger and looked toward the wall so as not to be recognized. As soon as the last of the guards ran through, he slammed the door shut. A quick move bolted it closed.

With the guards dealt of quickly, it seems that the prisoners have a chance to escape. But it seems to be too late. The group heard the sounds of soldiers coming from outside. There are no choice for the prisoners but to come back the way they came from, to the long corridor back to the dungeons.

As they run along that way, Theomer remembered something, something that may prove to be quite useful. He told the group to stop and listen for a while. Sure enough, "like a miracle sent from heaven", they heard the faint sound of horses neighing. Realizing that the stables of the keep must be nearby, they groped the near darkness of the corridor, looking for the stable entrance.

"They ran groping, muttering, grasping, when all at once the entrance swung open before them. They were in the stables, and the horses were just steps away." As the group walked quietly towards the stable, heard the laughter of some horse handler and stable guards as they eat their dinner. The group decided that two of them would sneak their way to the horses and steal them. Theomer and Carisan volunteered to do it. As they crept their way, they could now see the stables more clearly. The stable is a long row of horse stalls, and they are in one end, hiding in the dark, unoccupied stalls. On the other end of the stables, the stalls are occupied with horses, and huddling together, eating and drinking, are the horse handlers and guards, most which are obviously drunk.

It seems that they have a little luck on their side since they've heard somebody shouting outside, calling all the guards to report to the headquarters to find the prisoners who had escaped. They saw that the guards reluctantly get up and picked their swords, sighing. The two agreed that while Theomer distract the horse handlers and guards left in the stables (by starting a fight with them), Carisan and the other should grab a horse wagon for them to escape with.

Actually Theomer wasn't doing badly, even if he's grossly outnumbered. But he realized that if this continues on, soon all of his strength will be sapped and he'll be in a more serious trouble. He prayed that the others would come with the wagon and help him out. Meanwhile, Carisan and the other prisoners are swiftly getting the horses and the wagon ready even if the stables are getting a little bit chaotic while Karla had pulled herself up on a horse and tried to organize the other prisoners together for the escape.

Exhaustion is now finally setting into Theomer. As he fought, a guard had managed to seriously wound him on his side. Bleeding, he looked on as the guards closed in on him but suddenly they heard sound of hooves approaching them. The much-needed help had came at last which was quite fine for Theomer who had lost consciousness.

Battle of Five Armies -- Capucine Mazille

The battle was fierce. But against the soldiers who are better equipped for battle than the prisoners, they really have no chance of coming out of the battle alive. As most of the prisoners are being slaughter while some are running away, Carisan have reached the side Theomer who have painfully gained consciousness again. He helped his friend get to the wagon and escape but not without having to fight some guards who spotted them as well as dealing with dead driver. But eventually, they managed to storm out of the gates and escape.
