Stuff to make You LOL

What kind of people made "Wing Commander 2"?

In Wing Commander 2 (as well as in the later collection WC: Kilrathi Saga) there's a file MODULE.000. When you open this file with for example Word, most of it is of course just mess. But there is some plain text among the code there. Now, most of this text is the stuff you see during the game, but there's also something left by the programmers...

For those of you, that don't have the game (Shame on you!), here's what can be read: CLICK ME!

What does this tell us about programmers? And what tells about Origin, that it left this to the ready product AS WELL AS a remake in collection published about five years later?!

The Making of Wing Commander Armada

Makers of WCA kindly gave with the game a file QUOTES, which I (against copyright laws) present you HERE

Mean Streets - the good old days

Mean Streets (published ca. 1989) was the first game of Tex Murphy -series. This classic has some unforgettable features. MS had an incredible modern sound system called RealSound, which honestly is one of the best things ever heard on PC speaker.
Here's how to connect your PC to stereo for better sound quality!
That text isn't in manual... It's given by the game itself!

Manual has some other great notes such as: "Computers with clock speeds greater than 6 MHZ (such as Turbo) will tend to have slightly higher quality sound than slower machines." One of my favourites comes from Playing Tips: "Playing with the room lights turned down will make the graphics appear more vivid and will add to your enjoyment of the game." Now, this was at EGA/VGA era... Bye bye, eyesight!

Mean Streets had "TASTE" command (unfortunately rare in adventure games), which allowed you to try interesting things ("taste dead scientist" for example). The authors of game had realized this and MS has some nice answers to strange suggestions. Here's some.

Some of greatest graveyards ever

Here I have collected humorous tombstones from several games.
