The Cherokee Rose pattern was intended to compete with the very popular Rosepoint pattern made by Cambridge Glass in the same period. Tiffin did such a good job that even today, collectors confuse the two.
Listed and pictured in both these glass collectors books: Elegant Glass: Early, Depression and Beyond, 2nd Edition, 2004, by Debbie and Randy Coe, on page 65 and Elegant Glassware of the Depression Era, 5th Edition, 1993, by Gene Florence, on page 60.
The extremely clear crystal glass rings nicely, indicating pre-war lead content, to improve clarity. The very soft yellow glow under long wave UV, and only a very very soft blue white glow under short wave UV are consistant with Tiffin Glass made in that era.
In mint condition, with no chips, cracks, scratches or repairs, and just a few tiny flea bites in the base that don't show.
