The Clitheroe Civic Society is one of seven hundred such societies formerly under the auspices of the Civic Trust (now wound up). The objects of the Society are: • To promote civic pride in the Clitheroe area. • To promote high standards of planning and architecture in or affecting Clitheroe. • To secure the preservation and improvement of features of historic or public interest in the Clitheroe area.
