Musikmarkt - Transister
The credentials from the anglo-american trio Transister
are convincing: "We believe in the power of songs" explains
singer Keely Hawkes from UK. She formed the band together with the
Scottish guitarplayer Gary Clark and the Californian bassplayer
Eric Pressly. Their debut single 'Look who's perfect now'
could already has to been seen here on MTV and Viva 2. With the
eleven new songs on 'Transister' they have made their
first album. The foundation of the sound is melodic popmusic, played
on conventionel instruments played. The sound of this dynamic trio
is refined by particular loops and samples and more exotic instruments.
There is no fear to expand the guitarrock with cellos, horns and
drumloops. For 'Look who's perfect now' even a fragment
from Claude Debussy was sampled - and played backwards.
