As a freelance contractor I interpret civil depositions,
expert witness testimony, client meetings and medical examinations. Responsible
for marketing campaign of translation agency, including layout of promotional
materials and flyers. Also currently teaching Portuguese at North Lake
College in Continuing Education Department. Translations of legal, technical
and medical documents. Interpretation of intake interviews and medical
treatment. Technical translations include legal tender for U.S. Telecommunications
Company seeking business with ICE (Costa Rican Electric Company). Experienced
in translation of birth and marriage certificates, general affidavits,
evidence, general legal forms and business letters. I also have worked
on localization projects both editing and voicing. I possess a professional
register and lexicon in standard Castilian Spanish and am able to communicate
with natives of all Spanish /Portuguese speaking countries. Having lived
in an extremely diverse community (Miami, FL.USA) I am comfortable in

Originally employed as Corporate Sales Representative
of start-up specialty food company, promoted to Assistant National Sales
Manager, and upon reorganization of staffing assignments accepted Group
Manager position, directly reporting to president of company. Major accomplishments,
with this Swiss owned gourmet product's company included; 40% increase
from zero sales including extensive travel throughout entire United States.
Sold largest number of corporate chain and airline accounts. Achieved
75% of total company's new distribution. Consistently maintained lowest
cost of sales, 11% to 17%. Individually produced highest volume in weight,
dollars and variable margins. Developed strategic marketing plan within
company's limited distribution policy including promotions and targeted
advertising in trade journals. Directly responsible for budget planning
and administration. Recruitment and training of sales staff and member
of new product development team. Company listed on INC 500 1990 and 1991.
Member of R&D team. Responsibilities included; identification of distributors
and clients, prospecting these 2 levels of customers, present products
using pull through method i.e. directly market to end-user in order to
sell distributor after having determined potential customer base in any
given market. Management of distribution network once product stocked
and constant contact and selling of new products to end-users, supervision

Food and Beverage Manager
Managed and directed turn-around in 675 room convention
and resort hotels' highest volume food and beverage outlets. Major accomplishments
included; reduced food cost from 44% to 26%, reduced and maintained total
labor cost to 16% of revenues, worked on the design, costing and implementation
of menus and wine lists, including largest cruvinet in Florida, mediation
in dispute resolution with organized labor, (resulting in no adverse claims
against company). Hired, trained and supervised diverse staff of 40 employees.
Instituted staggered scheduling and cross-training in order to increase
production and improve quality of service. Responsibilities encompassed;
interviewing and recruiting of all service staff, scheduling all shifts
including coverage of 24 hour outlet, forecasting of revenues, purchasing,
requisitioning and maintenance of equipment and supplies. As member of
marketing team I set up and created restaurant promotions with an eye
to local market. Worked with Chefs on the implementation of special menu
items for small catered parties, menu tastings and daily specials.
