DANCE CLASS

.What to Expect.

NOTE: All dance teachers and schools are different. These are just basic guidelines.

Beginning of Class
First, the teacher will have the dancers stretch, usually for 15 minutes, although some teachers require dancers to stretch before class begins. Then they'll go through warm-ups, which consist of jumps, glides, and other drills.

Middle of Class
Dancers will either go through the steps they already know, or they may be taught new steps. At some point through the class, they will change from soft shoes to hard shoes, and then go through those dances.

End of class
Dancers will stretch again and do cool-down excersizes.
