OIREACHTAS
The Oireachtas is a qualifying competition for the World Championships of Irish Dancing. Each region in the United States holds its own oireachtas, usually around Thanksgiving weekend. The qualifications for entrance into this competition vary by region, but in general, most dancers at the oireachtas are in the preliminary or open championship level.
