Alleppey or Alappuzha is yet another romantic name in the history of Kerala. How to Reach

From Alappuzha nearest airport is Kochi International Airport, about 85 km away. Alappuzha railway station which is about 5 km from the beach is well connected to all major cities of the country with express trains. State Water Transport Department operates boat services which connect Alappuzha with other places like Kottaym (2.5 hrs), Kovalam (1.5hrs), Nedumudy (1.5 hrs) etc. If you want to travel by road then it is also not a very big issue. Alappuzha is also well connected with all the big cities by road. One can travel by bus or hire private taxies from here.
