South India

South India is that part of India which touches the Indian Ocean and is rich in wildlife, flora and fauna, beaches, backwaters, yoga, ayurveda and temples. Geographically, South India is a vast triangular peninsula, bounded by the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. Narmada River is the river which is boundary between northern and southern India. There are many more rivers in South India including Godavari, Krishna, and Kaveri. This region is also known for its culture, temples, festivals and dance. The dance forms of South India are Bharathanatyam, Kuchipudi and Mohiniaattam. Main languages of South India are Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu.

South India is famous for its beautiful backwaters, beaches, temples, dances, boat races, houseboats, culture and cuisines in all over the world. Every State of South India has its own importance in terms of culture, beauty and tourist destinations. Kerala in South India is also known as "Gods own country" only because of its enchanting backwaters destinations and the breathtaking landscapes. This is the place where one can find the best of backwater cruises and beaches. Ninety five percent of population of Kerala is educated that's why they know how to welcome and treat a guest. One more state in South India is Tamil Nadu, famous for its beautiful and ancient temples known for its exceptional art and Dravidian architecture.


Most of the part of South India is covered by forest so one can enjoy the presence of lots of wildlife animals. Here are lots of wildlife parks and sanctuaries in South India. Some of the famous parks and sanctuaries in South India are Mudumalai, Bandipur and Periyar. Some parts of South India are really like paradise and contains historical values like Hampi, Hospet, Hassan etc. As already mentioned that South India is famous for its best pilgrimages like Kanchipuram, Mahabalipuram, Rameswaram, Sravanbelagola and Madurai.
