The thrust behind this innovation is the
great economic advantage derived from reducing the time scale of
site remediation by accelerating the production of leachate and
collecting the contamination which is flushed from the material
undergoing remediation.
The SCIMUS - Becfield Construction Ltd. partnership handles a
site remediation project by applying a several stage process.
First, an assessment is made of the contaminated area.
The optimized plan for accelerating the contaminant removal is
then prepared.
A contaminant extraction or in-situ treatment system is
implemented using state of the art directional drilling
techniques.
The leachate is collected and treated or treated in-situ.
The site is decontaminated on an accelerated time scale. (up
to 10 times faster than other methods)
