Simply put, I'm a Jesus Freak. That doesn't mean I'm some intolerant bigot, but I try my best to include Christ in every aspect of my life, and apply His word as much as possible (which is sometimes difficult). He is what's most important and I don't ever want to lose sight of that. That being said, I also have other interests, which include color guard--unfortunately I might not be able to continue at Chicago--And MUSIC--Jars of Clay, INCUBUS (I love them), Musiq Soulchild, Common, The International Noise Conspiracy, and various other artists whose music I've illegally downloaded from KaZaa--I like that too :) I also like to read! Shakespeare will always hold a place in my heart, as well as Henry James. If I'm not reading or listening to Incubus, I'm playing with my dog, KiKi, who will probably be--aside from my Mom--the hardest person to leave behind because she's been great company all summer--a great friend--yes I do anthropomorphisize my dog. I'm looking forward to exploring Chicago and becoming acquainted with all you interesting peeps. I'll see you all then.

Hi guys! I'm really excited to get to school and see all of you for real! I love to travel, scuba-dive, sail, read, watch movies, hang out, and lots more. I actually live in a suburb of Philly, but the city is literally across the street --- however, I'm SO excited to live in Chicago because it's much much cooler than Philadelphia. I'm planning on making next year a super one: packed with tons of fun and probably some learning too. See you soon!

Let's see. Things I like: Music (lots of women's music, bluegrass, alternative, folk, German cabaret music, old stuff, Brit pop, etc.), playing and writing for guitar, singing (everything from radio stuff to my music to musical theater to art songs to classical Italian), theater (I want to direct), writing, reading EVERYTHING, socio-political discussions, movies (especially in Spanish), and more stuff. I can't wait to meet everyone...I hope everyone is really taking advantage of the summer.

I have a quote fetish, a very addictive personality, and I am very shy around new people, although I love to meet and get to know them. "Rent" is my favorite musical, "Almost Famous" is my favorite movie, and the first favorite book that comes to my mind at this moment is "Girl, Interrupted". I haven't started shopping for school yet; I need to get on that in the worst way. I'm alternately terrified/excited for this new school year to begin, but I am leaning more toward excitement the closer that orientation becomes. oh, and i think that starting school later than all of my friends, while still weird, is cool, especially because it gives me something to tease my younger brother about: "Oh, you had your first test as a sophomore first period today? I didn't shower until noon..." ;) which may sound mean, but it isn't. I wrote my admissions essay about how incredible our relationship is and how I know I'm going to die without him when I leave.

Sadly, when thinking about how to describe myself, the first thought that came to my mind is that I'm addicted to MTV reality shows LOL. Other than that, I've played piano for half my life and love playing classical music. As for *listening* to music, I love Everclear, U2, Phish, Travis, and even Britney Spears. I can't wait to go shopping in Chicago, to hear CSO, drink lots of coffee, and try weird & obscure things. My summer agenda is working, chilling with my soon-to-be-leaving friends, trying to get in shape to maybe row crew (with my gym stints interrupted by pathetic attemps to play racquetball), learning to swim (can you believe no one ever bothered to teach me?), and pretty much wasting time. Oh, and I overanalyze everything. I can't wait to meet everyone!!!
